Set Mauritius and Nigeria beside each other and the population explanation collapses. Whatever decides where Disney+ launches, market size plainly is not the whole of it.
Before spending anything, separate a direct Disney+ subscription from the availability of one programme. It would be easy, after a section like that one, to go looking in the agreement for something that helps. It is worth reading what is actually there instead, including the part that does not.
That sentence is genuinely more generous than most streaming contracts — it contemplates a subscription bought in one country being used in another.
