Fubo in Mainland China: Find the Game and the Local Broadcaster

USip Editorial · Updated

A U.S. Fubo subscription has no official mainland China viewing option. If you came for East Asia Super League basketball, Migu carries the full 2026/27 season in mainland China with Chinese commentary. For another sport, identify the competition before looking for a Fubo channel.

Monthly plan renews after the trial. Streaming access is separate.

In this guide

Start with the team and competition

A Hangzhou hotel viewer searching for “Hong Kong Eastern live” can end up on a Hong Kong TV listing. The team’s name does not determine the broadcaster where you are watching. The EASL broadcast announcement assigns the whole 2026/27 season to Migu in mainland China and lists separate partners for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. That is a much narrower and more useful answer than looking for an international sports bundle.

In Migu’s schedule, choose 篮球 (basketball), then 东亚超级联赛 (East Asia Super League). Check the two teams and the game date. NBA and CBA have their own filters on the same screen. A result for either competition will not tell you where that EASL game is showing.

Viewing checklist

Three checks before you watch

  1. Identify the competition

Hong Kong Eastern is a club name. For its EASL games, use the league filter for the territory where you are watching.

  2. Open the full game

Look for 直播 for live coverage or 回放 for a replay. 集锦 takes you to highlights.

  3. Check the feed before paying

On the match page, check the commentary and any membership prompt for the device you plan to use.

When the listing opens but the match does not

Look for 直播 (live), 回放 (replay) or 集锦 (highlights). A two-minute clip that plays without signing in does not establish access to the full broadcast. Open the event on the device you will use and check the membership prompt and available commentary before buying anything. A listing for a game later in the day may simply be waiting for tipoff.

For a different competition, repeat the rights check. For example, the Premier League’s country list names Migu in mainland China and Fubo in Canada. The Canadian listing is a separate agreement, not a reason to buy Fubo for a Premier League match in Beijing.

If you already pay for American Fubo

Fubo’s travel policy says its U.S. service cannot be watched outside the United States and its territories. Its rules for getting different local stations when travelling apply within that footprint. Do not reset your home network to hotel Wi-Fi, change the account ZIP code or buy more screens to fix a mainland territory message.

For a U.S. team, note the specific channel on the schedule. Even in a supported location, Fubo explains that a game can be blacked out on a national channel when regional rights apply. A residential U.S. IP supplies neither that channel nor an eligible account.

Before you choose a subscription

If you only need one fixture, confirm the competition, full-game option, price and renewal on the mainland provider’s purchase screen. If you need your home station’s presenters or halftime show, find out which feed the listing offers. A Chinese-language game broadcast can cover the entire match without carrying the American studio programme. A USip trial and a Fubo bill are separate purchases.

Connection setup by device

The videos demonstrate U.S. Fubo connection setup on each platform. They do not test Chinese networks or confirm that the U.S. Fubo player is available in mainland China.

If the video player does not load on your network, open the written instructions for your device.

USip connection plans

USip sells the network connection separately. Check the service’s location rules and the account needed for your title before choosing a plan. The price below covers USip only.

Common questions

Can my U.S. Fubo login unlock Migu?

No. Migu controls its own account and event access. Use the Migu event page to see whether that game requires a separate purchase.

Why do Hong Kong results appear for a game I want in mainland China?

The same EASL club can play in several markets. Use the broadcaster for your viewing territory, then match the fixture by both teams.
