What a residential U.S. IP changes
A residential U.S. IP changes the public network address presented by traffic using that connection. It does not convert Dutch Disney+ into U.S. Hulu, create a Hulu account or change provider eligibility rules. Address type alone cannot predict a streaming result.

The same brand, different entitlement
Hulu on Dutch Disney+ is not a U.S. Hulu subscription
Disney replaced the international Star brand with Hulu on 8 October 2025. The name alone does not establish identical catalogues across countries. Disney’s announcement explains the branding change.
For a Dutch account, check the local title page, season list and audio/subtitle options. For U.S. Hulu content inside Disney+, check the eligibility of your actual U.S. plan; a similar-looking tile does not transfer a subscription between markets.
A public IP does not itself rewrite your billing country or add a U.S. Hulu entitlement. When travelling, consult the service’s current travel rules instead of assuming either that every catalogue follows you or that an IP can select any catalogue.
