Fubo in Switzerland: It Has Never Been Sold Here

There has never been a Swiss Fubo. What Switzerland has instead is one of the most crowded sports-television markets anywhere, which changes the question from where to find American sport to how many subscriptions you are willing to hold.

Short answer

Fubo has never operated in Switzerland. What exists instead is an unusually fragmented market: Swisscom’s own site sells five separate sports packages — blue Sport, CANAL+ SPORT, mySports, Sky Sport and DAZN — and it is DAZN, at CHF 34.90 a month and upwards, that carries the NFL. Nothing here is missing. It is simply spread out and charged for separately.

Start here

Five Sports Subscriptions, One Set-Top Box

The interesting thing about Switzerland is not what is unavailable. It is how much is available, and how separately.

The absence first, briefly. Fubo’s availability article names two other countries and Switzerland is not among them:

“We also have services available in Canada and Spain.”

Fubo Help Center — is Fubo available in my country?

No Swiss launch, therefore no Swiss shutdown.

Now the part that decides what you should do. Swisscom’s own page of additional television packages sells five different sports subscriptions, each from a different rights holder:

PackageWhat Swisscom says it carriesPrice
blue Sport“UEFA Champions League, Super League, UEFA Europa League and many more”CHF 34.90/month, yearly
CANAL+ SPORT“European football, tennis, skiing, hockey, motor sports”, “100% of Formula1™ and MotoGP™”—
mySports“NHL and National League ice hockey games, CHL games”CHF 29.90/month
Sky Sport“Bundesliga, Premier League, Serie A…Majors, Ryder Cup, PGA Tour…F1”CHF 29.90/month
DAZN“Serie A matches, Ligue 1 matches, Bundesliga matches, NFL, Martial arts…PDC darts”from CHF 34.90/month

Read the last row twice. DAZN in Switzerland carries the NFL, and Swisscom says so on its own page. American football is not something a Swiss viewer has to reach abroad for — it is sold here, through the national telecoms operator, as one line on a package list.

It is also the most expensive of the five, which is the honest shape of the Swiss problem: not scarcity, but the number of separate bills.

And the complete route

For every game rather than a selection, the NFL sells its own pass through DAZN and describes it plainly:

“Every NFL game live throughout the season, including the International Games, Playoffs and Super Bowl LXI.”

NFL.com — what is NFL Game Pass on DAZN

“Available internationally only on DAZN in more than 200 markets.”

Same page

One thing this page will not tell you. Swiss television packages have historically carried German channels, and the NFL is free to air in Germany on RTL and NITRO. Whether that free German coverage reaches a given Swiss subscriber depends on the channel list, and Swisscom’s channel list could not be read for this page. If you receive RTL, it is worth checking what is on it on a Sunday evening before adding a fifth subscription.

Where Fubo Operates, in Fubo’s Own Words

Four markets, and Switzerland has never been one of them.

“Most programming on Fubo is only available in the United States and U.S. territories.”

Fubo Help Center — is Fubo available in my country?

“The programming available in these countries is not the same as what's available in the U.S.”

Same article

That second sentence matters in a market as segmented as this one. The instinct is to treat Fubo as a single American service behind a door; Fubo’s own position is that it runs four services whose programming does not match.

MarketWhat is sold there
United StatesThe full vMVPD: local ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC affiliates, regional sports networks, the entertainment tiers.
CanadaSports only since April 2026 — and every Premier League match, exclusively.
SpainA Spanish free-to-air bundle for a few euros a month. Not a sports vMVPD at all.
FranceNo Fubo brand. Fubo owns Molotov, which is sold under its own name.

What the American Service Costs

Against five Swiss packages priced between CHF 29.90 and CHF 34.90, here is the American one.

Fubo plan (United States)Price per month
Essential, Pro, Core$88.99
Elite, Ultra$98.99
Ultimate$113.99
Deluxe$118.99
Fubo Sports$64.99

Fubo currently sells Pro, Core, Elite and Ultra as English-language TV plans, a Sports + News service and a Spanish-language Latino plan. The figures above are Fubo’s own, published in its help centre and checked on 21 September 2026.

They went up in 2026 after Fubo agreed carriage of NBCUniversal’s networks, announced on 10 June 2026: TV plans by $15 a month, the Sports service by $9. Fubo does not give a single switchover date — it says the date “will vary depending on when NBCUniversal channels become available in your area”. A regional sports fee of $15.99 a month applies where NBC’s regional networks are carried.

The comparison a Swiss reader should actually run is not one subscription against another. It is how many subscriptions each answer needs. A single American plan carries the NFL, the NBA, baseball, college sport and the American networks together; getting a comparable spread in Switzerland means holding several of the five at once.

Which does not make the American plan cheap. It makes the two answers hard to compare, and any page pretending otherwise is selling you something.

Fubo’s own conditions

Rules That Apply to Any Fubo Account

Fubo’s published product rules, and how they land from here.

01

Territory

Fubo’s travel article states that the American service is available in the United States and its territories, and that a subscriber travelling outside those areas will not be able to watch it.

02

Local channels follow the stream

The ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC affiliates on an American plan are decided by where the stream is happening rather than where the account was opened. They are the part of the package least likely to behave the way a new subscriber expects.

03

Regional sports need a check-in

Regional Sports Networks do travel, but a device used outside the home area must be checked in from the home area at least once every thirty days. Miss the window and the network stops appearing on that device.

04

Televisions are one location at a time

Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, Roku, Xbox and smart TVs stream from a single location at a time. Phones, tablets and web browsers do not carry that restriction.

“Local channels such as ABC, CBS, or FOX will not travel with you. The local programming you receive is based on your location when streaming Fubo.”

Fubo Help Center — watching away from home

“Regional Sports channels will travel with you, any devices you use outside of your home area must be ‘checked in’ from your home area at least once per 30 days.”

Same article

“You can only stream on connected TV devices (Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Roku, Xbox One) or Smart TVs from one location at a time.”

Same article

The local-channel rule is the one that undercuts the bundling argument above. An American plan does not hand over every American local station; it hands over one market’s worth, decided by where the stream is taking place.

That is not a small caveat when the American local affiliates are a large part of what separates the American package from a Swiss one.

What USip actually sells

What a Residential US IP Address Changes — and What It Does Not

What it changes

  • Presents a residential United States network route in place of a non-US one
  • Keeps one consistent network identity through sign-in and playback
  • Separates a location question from an account, plan or rights question while you are working out which one you have
  • Lets you test in a desktop browser before configuring a television or a streaming stick

What it leaves untouched

  • Your Fubo account, your plan, or the channels that plan includes
  • Which local channels you are offered — Fubo says those follow the location the stream is happening in
  • The thirty-day home-area check-in that regional sports networks require
  • The one-location-at-a-time rule on connected televisions
  • Whether Fubo serves you. Fubo decides that, and nothing on this page is a guarantee that it will

USip sells the network part and nothing else. Every rule in the section above is Fubo’s and still applies in full.

From Switzerland the honest summary is that you are not locked out of anything. You are deciding how many separate sports bills you want to hold, and that is a budgeting question before it is a technical one.

Before you spend anything

Four Checks Worth Making From Switzerland

Switzerland rewards checking what you already have.

01

Read your existing television package first

Swiss households often already hold one of the five. If DAZN is in there, the NFL is already in there with it, and the rest of this page is optional.

02

Check whether you receive RTL

The NFL is free to air in Germany on RTL and NITRO. Whether that reaches you depends on your channel list, which this page could not read. Two minutes with your own listings settles it.

03

Price the Swiss route properly

Swisscom lists DAZN from CHF 34.90 a month, mySports and Sky Sport at CHF 29.90, blue Sport at CHF 34.90 yearly. Add up only the ones that carry what you actually watch.

04

Only then price the American service

The Sports service is $64.99 a month before the regional sports fee and the entertainment tiers start at $88.99, in US dollars. It is one subscription instead of several, which is its real argument.

Residential US IP addresses

Choose the USip Plan That Fits

USip sells residential US IP addresses. It is a network product, and in a market where American sport is already sold through the national operator, it is worth being clear that this is a question of breadth and price rather than of access.

Questions people actually ask

Fubo in Switzerland: Frequently Asked Questions

Is Fubo available in Switzerland?

No, and it never has been. Fubo’s own availability article names Canada and Spain as its only other markets, and its corporate descriptions add only Molotov in France.

Can I watch the NFL in Switzerland?

Yes. Swisscom’s own package page lists DAZN as carrying the NFL, from CHF 34.90 a month. The NFL’s own Game Pass, also on DAZN, carries every game of the season including the playoffs and Super Bowl.

What sports packages does Swisscom sell?

Five: blue Sport, CANAL+ SPORT, mySports, Sky Sport and DAZN. Swisscom lists them on its own additional-packages page with what each one carries.

Is the NFL free in Switzerland?

This page cannot say. It is free to air in Germany on RTL and NITRO, and Swiss packages have historically carried German channels, but Swisscom’s channel list could not be read here. Check your own listings.

Did Fubo shut down in Switzerland?

No. There was never a Swiss Fubo service to shut down.

Which Swiss package has the most American sport?

Of the five Swisscom lists, DAZN is the only one whose description names the NFL. Swisscom’s wording for the others names European football, motorsport, tennis, golf and ice hockey.

Why is sport so split up in Switzerland?

This page does not know and will not guess. What it can say is the observable part: five separate rights holders, five separate subscriptions, sold through one operator.
