Fubo in Germany: It Has Never Been Sold Here

No German Fubo has ever existed. Before you go looking for a way round that, it is worth knowing what German television already gives you for nothing.

Short answer

Fubo has never operated in Germany — its own availability article names only Canada and Spain, and its corporate descriptions add only Molotov in France. For the NFL, which is the usual reason to want Fubo, the NFL itself names RTL and NITRO as the exclusive free-television home of the league in Germany, with at least two live games every Sunday, and DAZN for the night games and the full Game Pass. That is a better starting point than most countries get.

Start here

What German Television Already Gives You

Fubo has never been sold in Germany. That matters less than it sounds, and here is why.

Start with the absence, briefly. Fubo’s availability article lists two other countries and Germany is not one of them:

“We also have services available in Canada and Spain.”

Fubo Help Center — is Fubo available in my country?

There was no German launch and therefore no German closure. Anything describing Fubo as having left Germany is describing an event that never took place.

The more useful question is what a German viewer actually wants from Fubo, and for most people the answer is one word: the NFL. So look at what the NFL says about Germany.

RTL and NITRO

On its own German ways-to-watch page, the NFL describes RTL and NITRO as the exclusive free-television home of the league in Germany — “die exklusive Free-TV-Heimat der National Football League in Deutschland” — carrying at least two live games each Sunday (“mindestens zwei Live-Spiele”), plus a further weekly game on RTL+ and the documentaries and podcasts around it.

Free-to-air

RTL and NITRO

The NFL’s own description: the exclusive free-TV home of the league in Germany. At least two live games every Sunday, plus one more each week on RTL+.

Subscription

DAZN

The German-language NFL conference from 19:00 each Sunday, two exclusive Sunday-evening games, and all the night games — Thursday, Sunday and Monday.

Add-on via DAZN

NFL Game Pass

The NFL’s own words: full access to every preseason, regular season and postseason game.

The honest comparison. This is not the same as an American Fubo subscription and this page is not going to pretend it is. Fubo carries the NBA, Major League Baseball, college sport, the American local affiliates and the regional sports networks, and a German NFL package carries none of that.

But the narrow claim holds and it is the one that decides most people’s money: if what you want is to watch American football on a Sunday evening in Germany, you start from free television and a single subscription, not from nothing. A page that skipped that in order to sell you something would be a worse page.

The company, not the app

Where Fubo Operates, in Fubo’s Own Words

Four markets, and Germany has never been one of them.

“Most programming on Fubo is only available in the United States and U.S. territories.”

Fubo Help Center — is Fubo available in my country?

“The programming available in these countries is not the same as what's available in the U.S.”

Worth holding on to from a country with no Fubo at all: there is not one Fubo behind a door. There are four different products, and Fubo’s own sentence says they do not carry the same programming.

MarketWhat is sold there
United StatesThe full vMVPD: local ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC affiliates, regional sports networks, the entertainment tiers.
CanadaSports only since April 2026 — and every Premier League match, exclusively.
SpainA Spanish free-to-air bundle for a few euros a month. Not a sports vMVPD at all.
FranceNo Fubo brand. Fubo owns Molotov, which is sold under its own name.

What the American Service Costs

For the comparison against free-to-air plus a DAZN subscription, here are Fubo’s American prices.

Fubo plan (United States)Price per month
Essential, Pro, Core$88.99
Elite, Ultra$98.99
Ultimate$113.99
Deluxe$118.99
Fubo Sports$64.99

Fubo currently sells Pro, Core, Elite and Ultra as English-language TV plans, a Sports + News service and a Spanish-language Latino plan. The figures above are Fubo’s own, published in its help centre and checked on 21 September 2026.

They went up in 2026 after Fubo agreed carriage of NBCUniversal’s networks, announced on 10 June 2026: TV plans by $15 a month, the Sports service by $9. Fubo does not give a single switchover date — it says the date “will vary depending on when NBCUniversal channels become available in your area”. A regional sports fee of $15.99 a month applies where NBC’s regional networks are carried.

Those figures rose in 2026 when Fubo added NBCUniversal’s networks. NBC matters to a German reader for one specific reason: it carries Sunday Night Football in the United States. So the American plans do buy NFL coverage a German package does not — and they buy it at $64.99 a month and upwards, before the $15.99 regional sports fee.

Set that against two live games every Sunday on German free television plus a DAZN subscription for the night games, and the American service stops looking like the obvious answer and starts looking like what it is: a much larger package at a much larger price, most of which is American sport a German viewer was not asking for.

Fubo’s own conditions

Rules That Apply to Any Fubo Account

Fubo’s published product rules. They are the part people discover after paying rather than before.

01

Territory

Fubo’s travel article states that the American service is available in the United States and its territories, and that a subscriber travelling outside those areas will not be able to watch it.

02

Local channels follow the stream

The ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC affiliates on an American plan are decided by where the stream is happening rather than where the account was opened. They are the part of the package least likely to behave the way a new subscriber expects.

03

Regional sports need a check-in

Regional Sports Networks do travel, but a device used outside the home area must be checked in from the home area at least once every thirty days. Miss the window and the network stops appearing on that device.

04

Televisions are one location at a time

Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, Roku, Xbox and smart TVs stream from a single location at a time. Phones, tablets and web browsers do not carry that restriction.

“Local channels such as ABC, CBS, or FOX will not travel with you. The local programming you receive is based on your location when streaming Fubo.”

Fubo Help Center — watching away from home

“Regional Sports channels will travel with you, any devices you use outside of your home area must be ‘checked in’ from your home area at least once per 30 days.”

Same article

“You can only stream on connected TV devices (Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Roku, Xbox One) or Smart TVs from one location at a time.”

Same article

The second rule is the one that matters most to an NFL viewer and is almost never mentioned. Which Sunday-afternoon games an American plan offers you is decided by the local CBS and FOX affiliates attached to wherever the stream is happening — so the American package does not hand you every Sunday game either. It hands you one market’s worth.

Set against RTL and NITRO carrying at least two live games every Sunday with no account at all, that is a narrower advantage than the price difference suggests.

What USip actually sells

What a Residential US IP Address Changes — and What It Does Not

What it changes

  • Presents a residential United States network route in place of a non-US one
  • Keeps one consistent network identity through sign-in and playback
  • Separates a location question from an account, plan or rights question while you are working out which one you have
  • Lets you test in a desktop browser before configuring a television or a streaming stick

What it leaves untouched

  • Your Fubo account, your plan, or the channels that plan includes
  • Which local channels you are offered — Fubo says those follow the location the stream is happening in
  • The thirty-day home-area check-in that regional sports networks require
  • The one-location-at-a-time rule on connected televisions
  • Whether Fubo serves you. Fubo decides that, and nothing on this page is a guarantee that it will

USip sells the network part and nothing else. Every rule in the section above is Fubo’s and still applies in full.

And the German order of operations stands. RTL and NITRO carry at least two live NFL games every Sunday for nothing at all. Check that first, price DAZN second, and only then work out whether an American subscription is buying you something you actually want.

Before you spend anything

Four Checks Worth Making From Germany

Working through these in order tends to produce a smaller bill than starting at the end.

01

Write down the games you actually want

Sunday afternoon, Sunday night, Thursday, Monday, playoffs. The answer determines whether German free television already covers you, and for a lot of viewers it does.

02

Check RTL, NITRO and RTL+ first

The NFL names them as the exclusive German free-TV home, with at least two live games every Sunday and one more each week on RTL+. That costs nothing and needs no account.

03

Then check what DAZN adds

The NFL’s German page credits DAZN with the Sunday conference from 19:00, two exclusive Sunday-evening games, all the night games, and Game Pass for everything else. Price that before looking abroad.

04

Only then price the American service

The Sports service is $64.99 a month before the regional sports fee; the entertainment tiers start at $88.99. If German free-to-air plus DAZN already covers what you listed in step one, this step is optional.

Residential US IP addresses

Choose the USip Plan That Fits

USip sells residential US IP addresses. It is a network product, and this page has deliberately put the German options ahead of it — for a lot of German NFL viewers the cheapest correct answer involves no subscription of ours at all.

Questions people actually ask

Fubo in Germany: Frequently Asked Questions

Is Fubo available in Germany?

No, and it never has been. Fubo’s own availability article names Canada and Spain as its only other markets; its corporate descriptions add Molotov in France and nothing else.

Did Fubo shut down in Germany?

No. There was never a German Fubo service. Pages that describe Fubo as having left Germany are describing something that did not happen.

How do I watch the NFL in Germany?

The NFL’s own German page names RTL and NITRO as the exclusive free-TV home with at least two live games each Sunday, an extra weekly game on RTL+, and DAZN for the Sunday conference, two exclusive Sunday-evening games, the night games and Game Pass.

Is the German NFL coverage as good as Fubo’s?

For the NFL alone it covers a great deal, including live games at no cost. For everything else Fubo carries — the NBA, baseball, college sport, American local channels and regional sports networks — it is not comparable, and this page does not claim it is.

Does Fubo carry Bundesliga?

Nothing in Fubo’s own materials reviewed for this page says so, so this page makes no claim either way. Check Fubo’s channel list directly if that is the deciding factor.

Will Fubo launch in Germany?

Nothing Fubo has published says so, and this page will not guess. As of 21 September 2026 the company’s market list is Canada, the United States, Spain and Molotov in France.

Why did Fubo add NBC channels in 2026?

Fubo announced a carriage agreement with NBCUniversal on 10 June 2026 and began rolling the networks out through the summer, raising plan prices by $15 a month and the Sports service by $9. The rollout is by market rather than on one date.
