It does carry several MGM+ originals — Billy the Kid, The Westies, American Hostage, Robin Hood, Hotel Cocaine and The Institute. What it does not carry is FROM, which is on Sky and NOW, or the American library it inherited from Lionsgate+ rather than from MGM+.

So the honest British summary is not “MGM+ does not have its own shows here”. It has six of them. Two of the best known are somewhere else, and one of those two — FROM — is behind a Sky or NOW subscription rather than a £5.99 add-on.
The part that does not appear in any table is the library. A British MGM+ subscription is built on Lionsgate and Starz: the Power franchise, BMF, Outlander, Spartacus, Mad Men, Nashville. The American service is a different shelf at a different price, and the release dates do not line up either.

A note on the £5.99, because the wrong number is everywhere. MGM+ launched in Britain in May 2024 at a lower price, and that launch figure is still being republished as today’s. The price on Amazon’s own British newsroom is £5.99, and that page is where this one takes it from.

One plan, one price, no advertising tier. That simplicity is itself a difference: the American service is a single subscription to a single catalogue, and the thing people are usually chasing is that catalogue and its release dates rather than a cheaper tier.
The five-service bundle launched on 15 September 2026 and Amazon’s own announcement scopes it to the United States. It has not been extended anywhere else.
What the UK buys for less is a different catalogue under the same name. That is the whole comparison, and the sections above set out what sits where.

What Amazon actually publishes about where MGM+ is sold — and what it does not publish, which matters just as much.
There is no MGM+ availability list. Neither Amazon nor MGM+ publishes a page naming the countries it serves, which is the first thing to know if you are trying to check any of this yourself. What Amazon publishes instead is a count, in the boilerplate at the foot of its press releases:

Treat the number with care, because Amazon’s own figures disagree with each other. The same boilerplate said 33 countries in February 2026 and 34 in July, and a separate Amazon page updated on 21 September 2026 says “more than 30”. The regions have not changed in any release since February, so the regions are what this page relies on: the United States, Europe, Latin America, Asia-Pacific and Canada. Africa and the Middle East have never appeared in any of them.
There is a second published list that is more useful, because it is a hard limit rather than a claim. Outside America, MGM+ is sold almost entirely as an add-on subscription inside Prime Video — so the countries where Amazon sells add-ons at all are the ceiling on where MGM+ can reach:

Twenty-five markets, and that is why there is no MGM+ anywhere in the Gulf, in Egypt, or in South Africa, Nigeria or Kenya: Amazon does not sell add-on subscriptions in those marketplaces at all.
One more distinction, because it catches people out. The plain MGM channel Amazon has sold for years in several countries is an older library-film channel and is not MGM+. And an MGM-branded television channel abroad is neither: MGM sold its international channel business in 2012, AMC Networks bought it in 2014 and renamed those channels AMC. Three different things, one word.
