How to Watch Peacock in Hungary
Some Peacock shows already have a local home on SkyShowtime. If you need the US Peacock service itself, this guide separates the account requirements from the router connection behind our recorded Hungary TV test.

Start with the show, not the logo. SkyShowtime’s Hungarian Peacock collection carries programmes from that studio. A SkyShowtime subscription is a separate service; it does not establish a subscription or login for the US Peacock app.

The official Hungarian series page confirms a local route to the very episode used in our TV test. If that is all you want to watch, local access may meet your needs without USip.
What an American connection does and does not supply
Peacock’s availability page limits streaming to the US and specified US territories. Its terms also restrict disguising location to evade geographic controls. A recorded technical success does not change those rules or guarantee continued access.
You still need your own active Peacock subscription with the content you want. SkyShowtime credentials, a USip account and a Peacock login are different things. Check who bills your Peacock plan before troubleshooting a missing subscription, and use that provider’s instructions for account changes.
Peacock’s account settings include payment and billing-address controls, but that does not verify acceptance of a Hungarian card or eligibility for a new account. Our Hungary records tested playback, not checkout. Do not buy USip expecting it to create a Peacock account, approve payment or supply a false US address.

Open the TV test or the earlier iPhone test for the individual records. The full results page also includes problematic and unsuccessful checks.
These are two different sessions on different dates, not a controlled comparison of device quality. Neither establishes full-episode viewing, Hungarian signup or billing, live sports, Smart DNS or a VPN app installed directly on Google TV. The October TV record specifically used a router connection.
Set up the TV path that matches the recorded test
Peacock supports Google TV devices, but supported hardware and app-store availability are separate checks. Confirm the official Peacock app is available for your device and account before arranging a router setup.
- Ask USip support to confirm that your router can use the supplied OpenVPN profile and that the selected plan covers your intended setup. An internet provider’s default router may not offer a VPN client.
- Keep a record of the current router settings. Follow the instructions appropriate to your router to import the USip profile; do not copy settings for an unrelated VPN service.
- Enable the VPN connection for the TV’s network. A VPN running only on a nearby phone does not route the TV through it.
- Confirm the router connection is active, then reconnect the TV to that network and reopen Peacock.
- Sign in with your existing Peacock account. Play the exact episode you need and check audio, subtitles and sustained playback.
Router changes can affect other devices in the household. If you cannot confirm the TV is on the configured route, ask for help before treating the playback result as a service failure. You do not need to buy the same router model used by a tester.
Using an iPhone instead of changing your router

The September record provides an iPhone example, but does not establish every iOS version or title. It also does not verify casting: when video moves to another device, the receiving device’s connection may matter. Treat phone playback and TV playback as separate checks.
For Samsung or LG televisions that use a different setup, read the Smart DNS guide and confirm access with support first. Neither Hungary record above tested that method.
Identify the failure before changing the plan
- Peacock is missing from the app store: check official device support and account-store availability. Changing the connection does not install the app.
- SkyShowtime credentials fail: use the account belonging to the service you opened. The studio collection is not Peacock account activation.
- The TV shows a region error: confirm its actual network route, then reopen the app. Record the exact message if it persists.
- One episode plays and another fails: keep both results with their season and episode numbers. Do not label this an all-service pass.
- A live event is missing: verify the event and plan independently. An on-demand drama test cannot validate a live sports entitlement.
When asking for help, include Hungary, the device category, whether the VPN runs on the router or device, the title and the error. Do not send passwords or full payment details.
Choose a trial only after the account and device checks
If you already have a suitable Peacock account and a supported setup, review the current USip plans. For a TV, confirm the router setup before checkout; for the simpler device route, begin with the iPhone instructions.

Is Peacock included with SkyShowtime Hungary?
SkyShowtime offers selected Peacock programmes within its own catalogue. It does not give you the same account or establish access to the separate US Peacock app. Check the exact title and season locally first.
Was Peacock tested on Google TV in Hungary?
Yes. On 11 October 2026, a Google TV using a VPN configured on the router played eleven minutes of The Day of the Jackal S1E1. This was not a test of a VPN app installed on the TV.
Can I use my phone’s VPN for the TV?
Connecting a phone does not automatically connect the television. The recorded TV method routed the TV through a configured router. Casting and hotspot sharing were not validated by the test.
Does the Hungary test prove Peacock live sports work?
No. Both published Hungary records used on-demand episodes. A live event needs its own current entitlement and playback check; these records do not establish it.
