How to Watch Peacock in Cyprus
For an existing Peacock account on a Samsung TV, the useful questions are app support, Smart DNS access and registration of the current home connection. This guide follows a recorded Cyprus test and explains when local Hayu may be enough instead.
Ελληνικά →Is Hayu a local alternative to Peacock in Cyprus?
For some viewing goals, yes. Hayu’s official country information includes Cyprus, and its service description focuses on reality television. If that is what brought you to Peacock, check the local catalogue and the exact season before arranging another service.
| Your viewing goal | What to check |
|---|---|
| A reality series or franchise | Check Hayu in Cyprus for the particular series, season and episode. A global promotional page is not a guarantee of every local episode. |
| Twisted Metal or another scripted drama | Do not treat a reality subscription as the complete Peacock catalogue. Check the exact title separately. |
| Your existing US Peacock account on the TV | Check account eligibility, official app support and the TV’s connection method. |
| A live broadcast | Check that broadcast’s rights and plan. The Cyprus test below was an on-demand episode. |
Hayu and Peacock have separate subscriptions and logins. Sharing a corporate owner or some programmes does not merge their catalogues, apps or viewing entitlements.
What you need before changing the TV’s settings
- Your own suitable Peacock account: check that the subscription is active and includes the programme you want.
- A supported television and official app: Peacock lists Samsung models from 2017 onwards, but app availability still depends on the device and store.
- Confirmed USip Smart DNS access: check the service and plan with support before purchasing a plan for this TV setup.
- Access to your home connection settings: keep the original DNS setting so you can restore it if necessary.
Peacock limits streaming to the US and specified territories, and its terms restrict disguising location to bypass geographic controls. The test below is an observation, not a change to those conditions. Smart DNS does not create an account, make a payment acceptable or install an unavailable app.
Our test did not assess Cyprus-issued cards. Resolve a registration or billing question with Peacock or your billing partner rather than assuming a connection subscription fixes it.

This is an earlier published test, not a new test performed on this guide’s publication date. It establishes eighteen recorded minutes of that episode with that method. It does not verify an entire season, a live event, new account registration, payment or a different TV operating system. We are not presenting it as a Cyprus VPN test: the recorded method was Smart DNS.
Set up Smart DNS for the home connection
Use the current USip Smart DNS guide for the supplied settings and registration process. Do not use DNS addresses copied from another provider.
- Confirm Smart DNS access with USip and note the TV’s original DNS setting.
- On a phone or computer connected to the same home network as the TV, turn the VPN off and register that connection through the USip setup process.
- Enter the supplied DNS setting on the TV, or follow the supported router method if the TV has no manual DNS option.
- Save the settings, reconnect the TV and reopen the official Peacock app.
- Sign in to your existing Peacock account and play the episode you actually want. Record playback time and any error.
Registration concerns your home connection, not a VPN connection on the phone. If the home connection changes, repeat registration. Router DNS changes may affect other devices, so use the TV’s own setting when appropriate.
Why an IP checker can still show Cyprus
Smart DNS and a VPN are different methods. Smart DNS can leave your ordinary public-IP country visible. A Cyprus result in a general IP checker therefore does not, by itself, show that the Smart DNS setup failed.
For this TV route, check the saved DNS setting, current home-connection registration and playback inside Peacock. Do not repeatedly change settings just to make an IP checker display the United States. The computer-and-phone VPN route has a different connection check.
If you want to use USip VPN on a computer or phone instead, follow the relevant Windows, Mac, iPhone/iPad or Android guide. Those instructions explain setup, but this Cyprus record does not establish a Peacock result on those devices.
If the app is missing, blocked or stops working
| Problem | Next useful check |
|---|---|
| No Peacock app in the store | Check official device support and store availability. DNS does not install the app. |
| Region error after a previously successful session | Check whether the home connection changed and whether registration is current, then reopen the app. |
| No internet after changing DNS | Restore the original settings and ask support to check the setup before trying again. |
| Login or payment error | Check the Peacock account and billing provider. Treat this separately from the DNS configuration. |
| Only one title fails | Record the exact season, episode and message. Another title playing does not erase that failure. |
For a support request, provide Cyprus, Samsung TV, Smart DNS, the title and the exact message. Say whether DNS was set on the TV or router and whether the connection was registered again. Keep credentials and payment details private. A short description of what changed is more useful than repeated factory resets.
Confirm the TV service before choosing a plan
The USip plans describe the current subscription offer. Before starting specifically for this Samsung TV route, confirm Smart DNS access with support. Do not assume that a computer-and-phone VPN plan automatically covers every television setup.
The advertised USip VPN trial lasts three days and requires a payment method. It renews automatically at the selected plan’s price and billing interval unless cancelled before the trial ends. Peacock is separate. Once your TV service is confirmed, test the actual episode and viewing session you need; our September result is a useful reference, not a replacement for that check.
USip plans & trial
Check the current price and trial conditions before subscribing. Streaming subscriptions and USip connection plans are separate. For Smart DNS, confirm access and compatibility with Support first.

Is Hayu the same as Peacock in Cyprus?
No. Hayu is a separate reality-TV service available in Cyprus. It may cover the reality series you want, but it does not provide the full Peacock catalogue or a Peacock account.
Does the Samsung test prove a VPN works on the TV?
No. The 21 September 2026 result used Smart DNS and recorded eighteen minutes of Twisted Metal S2E1. It was not a VPN test on that television.
Should Smart DNS make my public IP show the United States?
Not necessarily. It can leave your normal public-IP country visible. Check the DNS configuration, registration of the current home connection and actual playback instead.
Will a USip trial include Peacock or create a US account?
No. USip supplies the connection service. Peacock requires its own suitable account and subscription. Confirm Smart DNS access with USip before selecting a plan for your television.
