How to Watch U.S. AMC+ in Italy
Looking for the American AMC+ service from Italy? Start with the show and your subscription. Daryl Dixon is already on Italian Sky and NOW; a U.S. AMC+ account is a different product. Our October Mac test explains what we actually checked.
Italiano →Daryl Dixon is already available through Italian services
The useful distinction is between watching an AMC production and using the American AMC+ subscription. Italy has local rights to several Walking Dead titles. You do not need to buy a U.S. service simply because the programme carries the AMC name.
| What you want | Italian route to check | What to compare |
|---|---|---|
| The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, season 3 | Sky and NOW | Episode availability, included pass, audio and subtitles |
| The original Walking Dead series and other spin-offs | NOW’s Walking Dead collection | The exact series and season, rather than the franchise name |
| Your existing American AMC+ library | The platform that bills your AMC+ subscription | Account region, supported sign-in and the particular title |
NOW’s current collection lists Daryl Dixon seasons 1–3. Sky announced the Italian season-three launch for 8 September 2025. Check the current offer before subscribing: this guide does not assume every AMC+ title is included on either Italian platform.
When a U.S. AMC+ connection is relevant
AMC+ lists the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand as supported markets; Italy is absent. A subscription offered in one supported country is not evidence that Italy has the same service or catalogue.
The American route is most relevant when you already have an appropriate U.S. subscription or have identified a specific U.S. title that your Italian options do not cover. Write down that title, season and episode first. Then verify that it belongs to your subscription. A search result or trailer does not establish viewing rights.
USip supplies the connection. It does not supply an AMC+ subscription, turn an Italian account into an American one, add Italian dubbing or determine whether AMC+ accepts the session.
Choose the correct app for the subscription you purchased
AMC+ offers a direct subscription without a cable package. App-store billing and an add-on Channel can also exist, but the receipt matters more than the device brand.
- Direct AMC+: use the AMC+ website or supported AMC+ app with the relevant account.
- Prime Video, Apple TV or Roku Channel: watch inside that platform. AMC+ says these Channel subscriptions cannot be used on its standalone website or apps.
- Local Sky or NOW: use the Italian service. Its subscription does not become an AMC+ login.
Before purchasing again, check who charged you and which product the receipt names. A request to subscribe inside another app may mean you opened the wrong service.
Our recorded AMC+ test from Italy
| Date | Country | Device | Connection | Title | Playback | Result |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 October 2026 | Italy | Mac | USip VPN through OpenVPN Connect | The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon S3E1 | 15 minutes | Passed |
This is a historical playback observation. It does not record a new subscription purchase, an entire episode or a television-device test. The same episode’s local availability also means this result is not evidence that a VPN is necessary to watch Daryl Dixon in Italy.
Open the recorded test or browse all results, including problems and failures.
Start with the Mac workflow we tested
- Confirm the account. Find the subscription receipt and check that the intended title belongs to that product.
- Set up the connection. Follow the USip Mac guide to install OpenVPN Connect and import your own USip profile.
- Connect before opening the service. Use the website associated with your subscription; the tested standalone AMC+ route is different from Prime Video Channels.
- Choose an episode, not a trailer. Let it play, then test pause, resume and subtitles. Note any error rather than repeatedly buying or changing subscriptions.
- Check your intended viewing session. Our 15-minute result is a starting point. Test the device and content you actually intend to use before relying on the setup.
A Mac result does not establish Smart TV compatibility
AMC+ publishes a supported-device list, but an app’s existence does not establish availability in an Italian app store. Resolve account and playback questions on the Mac before investing time in television setup.
For televisions, consult the separate Smart DNS guide and check for a matching result in the test log. Smart DNS and the Mac VPN are different methods. This Italy test does not confirm Smart DNS, casting or a television app.
An AMC+ activation code is a way to sign in on a television. It does not purchase a plan or convert a partner subscription.
Use the error to identify the next step
| What happens | What to check |
|---|---|
| You are asked to subscribe despite already paying | Match the receipt to the website or app. Avoid creating a duplicate subscription. |
| The catalogue opens but the episode will not play | Confirm episode entitlement, then record the exact playback error and connection method. |
| A region or connection error appears | Check that your USip connection is active and ask support about the specific result. Access can still be refused. |
| The payment is rejected | Resolve eligibility and billing with the seller. Changing the connection does not guarantee payment acceptance. |
| Italian audio or subtitles are missing | Check the player’s language options and the local Sky/NOW version before purchasing another plan. |
Compare the complete cost before committing
If NOW already includes the episode and language you want, compare that route first. For U.S. AMC+, consider the streaming subscription and USip as separate purchases, with separate renewal and cancellation terms. Check the actual checkout currency and any charges from your payment provider.
Use accurate billing information. A U.S. connection does not establish residency or make a payment method eligible. Once your subscription route is settled, review USip and its current trial terms and make a short playback check with your own account.
USip plans & trial
Check the current price and trial conditions before subscribing. Streaming subscriptions and USip connection plans are separate. For Smart DNS, confirm access and compatibility with Support first.

Is AMC+ officially available in Italy?
Italy is not on AMC+’s published supported-country list. The existence of AMC programmes on Italian platforms does not mean there is an Italian AMC+ subscription.
Do I need AMC+ to watch Daryl Dixon season 3 in Italy?
No. NOW lists season 3, and Sky announced its Italian release. Check your chosen service’s current package and language options.
Can I use an Amazon AMC+ Channel in the AMC+ app?
AMC+ says its external Channel subscriptions are separate and do not work in its standalone app. Use the platform where that Channel was purchased.
Does the Italy test prove my payment or television will work?
No. It records 15 minutes on a Mac using VPN on 10 October 2026. Billing, television apps and Smart DNS were not established by that result.
