Disney+ in Moldova: Availability and PayPal

If you live in Moldova, check three things before paying: whether Disney+ accepts your country of residence, whether your payment method works for that subscription, and whether the film or series has the language you need. A Romanian-language website or a working PayPal account answers only part of the question.

Can you subscribe to Disney+ in Moldova?

A local Moldovan Disney+ subscription is not confirmed by the official sources we reviewed. Disney’s June 2022 EMEA launch list includes Romania but omits Moldova. Its current availability guidance describes broad regions, without a complete country list. The historical omission supports an availability gap; it is not a fresh test of every account in Moldova.

For a new subscription, ask Disney+ whether Moldova is a supported country of residence. For an existing account, specify where it was opened and whether you are visiting or moving permanently. We have not verified a Moldovan plan price or launch date.

Romania, Moldova and EU roaming are different things

Disney+ Romania is an official Romanian-market offer. Its language and prices do not establish eligibility for residents of Moldova. Do not substitute a Romanian address simply to make a signup form accept it.

There is a particularly easy misunderstanding in 2026: Moldova joined the EU “Roam like at home” area on 1 January. This concerns calls, texts and mobile data charges. It does not establish Disney+ availability or a right to subscribe to the Romanian service.

Disney’s EEA travel guidance and the EU’s content-portability FAQ address residence and temporary travel. A trip into Moldova should not be treated as travel within the EEA merely because mobile roaming is included. Ask Disney about your account before departure; use offline downloads if your plan permits them.

PayPal works in Moldova. Does it pay for Disney+?

PayPal’s Moldova website supports consumer shopping and sending payments. That satisfies the basic requirement for a local PayPal account. It does not confirm that a Moldovan PayPal account will be accepted by a particular Disney+ market.

Treat Disney+, USip and Apple or Google billing as separate checkouts. A successful payment to one does not activate the others. For each subscription, check the merchant, currency, renewal date and payment method before approving it.

PayPal’s agreement describes automatic payments, but account and merchant conditions still apply. Review any recurring authorization and its cancellation controls. Stopping a PayPal authorization is not necessarily the same as cancelling the service contract.

Also distinguish Romanian lei (RON) from Moldovan lei (MDL). A Romanian “lei” price is not the amount that will leave an MDL account. The National Bank of Moldova’s reference rates are not a promise of your card’s settlement rate. Check the checkout conversion and your bank’s charges.

Check Romanian audio and subtitles title by title

A Romanian interface does not mean every movie has Romanian dubbing. Disney says audio and subtitle options depend on the title and country. For a household choosing a service for children, this can matter more than the total catalog size.

  1. Write down the exact movie, series, season and episode you want.
  2. Check Romanian audio and Romanian subtitles separately in the title’s language menu.
  3. If you need Russian or English instead, check those tracks explicitly; do not infer them from the interface.
  4. Confirm the options on the device you will actually use.

Changing a profile language can reveal a supported version; it cannot create a missing audio track or establish streaming rights in Moldova.

Find the problem before changing your connection

A missing app, failed payment and unavailable title need different checks. Apple’s Moldova media-services page lists an App Store, but warns that individual apps and content can vary by country. App Store availability is not confirmation that Disney+ is offered locally.

What to check when Disney+ does not work
What you seeUseful next step
Country or region unavailableAsk Disney about the account’s home country and your present location.
App missing on the TV or phoneCheck the store country, TV model and Disney’s supported-device guidance.
Payment declinedCheck the billing market, card status and bank authentication; changing an IP does not fix those details.
Only one title is missingCheck its season, local rights and profile age restrictions before troubleshooting the whole service.

For example, maib lists several reasons for failed card transactions, including limits, insufficient funds and incorrect authentication details. Keep the exact error and contact the issuer. We have not tested or established a blanket rejection of Moldovan cards.

Where a residential US IP fits

USip is a separate connection service for people who need a residential US IP. It changes the connection address; it does not provide a Disney+ subscription, establish US residence, supply a payment method or guarantee a title will play.

If you already have an eligible account and a specific connection problem, start with one supported device and record the result before changing the whole household network. Use our Windows, Mac, Android or iPhone and iPad instructions. For televisions, review the Smart DNS guide and ask support about your model.

Compare USip plans or ask a setup question. Disney+ fees and eligibility remain separate.

About the walkthroughs. Recorded in November 2022 and covering the connection step only. The Disney+ interface in them predates the October 2025 rename, so the general-entertainment tile is still called Star. Useful for the connection; not a guide to the current app.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an official Disney+ Moldova price?

We have not verified a local plan. Prices on Disney+ Romania are for that market, not a Moldovan offer.

Does PayPal availability prove I can buy a US Disney+ subscription?

No. PayPal supports shopping in Moldova, but Disney’s market and billing conditions still apply. We have not tested that transaction.

Will a US IP add Romanian dubbing?

No. Language tracks depend on the particular title and the version Disney makes available.

Does my mobile plan’s EU roaming include Disney+?

No. Roaming concerns mobile-service charges. It does not include a streaming subscription or establish its geographic rights.

How this guide was checked

We reviewed the linked Disney, PayPal, EU, Apple, National Bank of Moldova and maib sources on 25 October 2026. Source review is separate from payment and playback testing. Local Disney+ launch status remains unconfirmed; no successful payment, renewal or viewing result from Moldova is claimed.

Check Your Account, Then Choose Your Setup

Confirm the title, language and account requirements first. USip provides the connection service; Disney+ provides its own subscription and content.
