STARZ in Mainland China: Find an Outlander Season and Check Offline Viewing

01Look up Claire and Jamie by season

iQIYI lists Outlander season four under 古战场传奇 第四季, identifying Claire and Jamie and the 2018 season. That is a more useful starting point than searching for “STARZ China”. If you finished season three before travelling, 第四季 is exactly what you want to see. If you need a different season, change the number and check the new results independently.

On the episode page, look for the episode number, playback length and offer. 花絮 means behind-the-scenes material. 字幕 means subtitles and 配音 means dubbing. A Mandarin title on the page does not establish that the video has English captions or Mandarin audio. If language access matters, inspect the audio and subtitle controls on an available episode before paying.

02One charge, two possible apps

An Amazon receipt can mean a STARZ Channel subscription inside Prime Video. STARZ says the channel and the STARZ app do not share login credentials. If your monthly charge comes from Amazon, open the channel under that Amazon account. A password reset on the direct STARZ site will not move the purchase.

For a US television package, look instead for the TV-provider sign-in and select the provider shown on your bill. STARZ’s login guide explains that route. If your account works at home but content is restricted after travel, separate the territorial issue from the password issue. The US terms restrict the platform geographically.

03Pack an episode only if the download is actually there

STARZ documents downloads in its Apple and Android mobile apps. Before departure, choose an eligible episode, let it finish and open the downloads area on that same phone or tablet. Check the episode number. Downloading the app itself leaves no episode on the device. A channel purchased through Amazon needs to be checked in Amazon’s player.

If a download shows an expiry or requires another online check, take that message seriously. The mobile download feature is not a promise that the file will renew or play indefinitely in China. Keep a locally available alternative for a long stay. A hotel TV cannot read a STARZ download stored on your phone simply because you sign in to it.

04Which country does the listing cover?

Use the mainland iQIYI link above as your local reference. A Hong Kong or Taiwan offer for the same season does not establish a mainland offer. If all you need is one episode, compare the iQIYI offer with the cost of a new membership before making any changes to a US account or app-store country.
