Pluto TV in Mainland China: US Channels, CCTV Alternatives and Error 3304
We found no official mainland edition carrying Pluto TV’s US channel lineup. If your goal is a live film or a news broadcast, CCTV-6 and CCTV-13 have their own mainland players and schedules. To find a particular US programme, identify the channel and the episode separately.
Monthly plan renews after the trial. Streaming access is separate.

Start with what you wanted from the channel guide
If you wanted to turn on a film and see what is on, open CCTV-6’s official live film channel. For a Chinese news broadcast, open CCTV-13’s live news channel. Look for 直播 (live) and 节目单 (programme schedule). Use the date on the Chinese guide when comparing a US listing sent by someone back home. Around midnight, the entries may belong to different calendar days.
These are domestic alternatives with their own editorial schedules. The film showing on CCTV-6 is not necessarily the one showing on Pluto’s US movie channel. Nor is CCTV-13 a substitute for a particular American news programme. If you know the film or show you wanted, copy down the name and use a licensed local on-demand service to look for that exact title.
Three checks before you watch
Choose live or replay
On CCTV-6, 直播 is live. For an earlier broadcast, look for 回看 beside that programme and check whether a replay is offered.
Match the date in China
Compare the listing’s date as well as its time. A US evening broadcast may fall on the following calendar day in mainland China.
Isolate error 3304
Note the device and time. Compare one other Pluto live channel and one on-demand title before changing settings or paying for a connection.
Why an installed Pluto app can show a different guide
Pluto creates channel lineups for specific markets. In its Nordic launch announcement, Paramount described channels made for those audiences. Pluto’s device page tells you which kinds of hardware can run the app. A model of television appearing in that list is not evidence of a mainland edition. We found no official mainland US lineup. A listing or app from Hong Kong or Taiwan would not establish one.
A channel stream and an on-demand episode also answer different questions. Live means you join what is already airing. On demand means you can choose the item and start it from the beginning when that edition offers it. The same logo or title can be visible in one part of a regional service and absent from the other.
If the screen says error 3304
Note the device, time, channel and whether the picture ever started. Check whether another live channel and an on-demand title fail in the same way. If only one channel fails, note its name and programme rather than changing settings on every device. If nothing loads, make sure any hotel Wi-Fi sign-in page has been completed, then check the app or supported browser again.
The number alone cannot establish whether a failure comes from a location, a device, an ad request or a temporary player fault. No mainland test demonstrating a universal fix for 3304 was available for this guide. Paramount’s US terms govern the service. A network subscription does not supply channel rights or guarantee a particular stream.
When the useful answer is a schedule, not another app
Before downloading anything on a hotel TV, check the official CCTV programme guide on a phone. Search 央视六套 节目单 for the film schedule or 央视十三套 直播 for news. If you need to see yesterday’s programme, look for 回看 (replay) on that programme’s page. Verify the actual replay control; a schedule listing on its own does not make an archived programme playable.
Connection setup by device
Record whether one channel, all live channels or an on-demand title fails on the device shown. These walkthroughs demonstrate the connection. They do not establish a mainland Pluto lineup or a verified fix for error 3304.

Common questions
Which mainland channels can I open for films or news?
CCTV-6 is the mainland film channel and CCTV-13 is the news channel. Their listings follow their own schedules.
Does Pluto error 3304 prove I need a US IP?
The error alone cannot diagnose that. Note which streams fail and on which device. We have no confirmed mainland test showing a guaranteed cure.
Does a Pluto TV account purchase the US channel list?
Pluto TV offers an ad-supported viewing service. A device registration or separate network payment does not purchase territorial rights to a US lineup.
