Where to check Dutch sports after the Videoland acquisition
Before paying for an annual pass, search for the exact competition, fixture and local start time in the service you would use. Open its programme page and check whether it shows a live start, a replay or highlights.
Who owns the Dutch service now?
Viaplay Group completed the sale of its Dutch streaming and broadcasting operations to Videoland, owned by DPG Media, on 30 October 2026. The announcement confirms completion. Fubo currently sells Pro, Core, Elite and Ultra as English-language TV plans, a Sports + News service and a Spanish-language Latino plan. The figures above are Fubo’s own, published in its help centre and checked on 21 September 2026.
They went up in 2026 after Fubo agreed carriage of NBCUniversal’s networks, announced on 10 June 2026: TV plans by $15 a month, the Sports service by $9. Fubo does not give a single switchover date — it says the date “will vary depending on when NBCUniversal channels become available in your area”. A regional sports fee of $15.99 a month applies where NBC’s regional networks are carried.
There is an argument for the American service that only really applies in a market like this one: it is not part of the transaction. Whoever ends up owning what in the Netherlands, an American subscription is unaffected by it.
That is a thin argument on its own, and it is not worth the price difference by itself. It is worth noting only because the alternative right now is a Dutch subscription whose future line-up nobody has published.

Local channels follow the stream
The ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC affiliates on an American plan are decided by where the stream is happening rather than where the account was opened. They are the part of the package least likely to behave the way a new subscriber expects.
Regional sports need a check-in
Regional Sports Networks do travel, but a device used outside the home area must be checked in from the home area at least once every thirty days. Miss the window and the network stops appearing on that device.
Televisions are one location at a time
Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, Roku, Xbox and smart TVs stream from a single location at a time. Phones, tablets and web browsers do not carry that restriction.

These have the merit of being stable. Fubo has published them, they do not change with a transaction, and they are the same for every subscriber.
The local-channel rule is still the one most new subscribers meet unprepared: which American stations you are offered follows where the stream is happening, not where the account was opened.

From the Netherlands there is a sequencing point worth making. The Dutch question — who will own what, and carry what — has no published answer yet. It is a reasonable moment to buy nothing annual, in either direction, until it does.
