ESPN+ content is now offered through ESPN Select and ESPN Unlimited. These are US subscription plans. This guide explains the difference, Canadian viewing options and how to set up the USip residential US IP service on a computer, phone or TV.

Short answer
The US ESPN Select and Unlimited service is not a Canadian subscription service. ESPN Select includes ESPN+ content; Unlimited also includes ESPN’s networks and services. Check the Canadian broadcaster’s listing for your event first. TSN, Crave and Disney+ bundles have their own content and do not automatically include a US ESPN subscription.
Canadian Viewing Options: TSN, Crave and Disney+
Check the Canadian broadcaster’s schedule for your specific event. Sports rights are assigned by event and territory, so a programme on ESPN in the US may have a different Canadian provider.
Disney+, Crave and TSN Bundles
These packages have different combinations and their own terms. A Canadian bundle does not automatically include a US ESPN Select or Unlimited subscription.

Where US ESPN Subscriptions Are Available
The Disney+, ESPN and Hulu US subscriber agreement limits the US ESPN service to the United States and supported territories. A US IP address does not create subscription eligibility.

ESPN+, ESPN Select and ESPN Unlimited
ESPN+ is still the content service. Select and Unlimited are subscription plans with different inclusions.
ESPN Select
Includes ESPN+ content, such as eligible live events, originals and on-demand programming. It does not include every ESPN network.
ESPN Unlimited
Includes ESPN+ and adds ESPN’s networks and services. Check the plan and event listing for what you want to watch.

What a US IP Changes for a Canadian Viewer
The USip residential US IP service changes the public IP used by your VPN traffic. It does not add ESPN to a subscription or decide an event’s broadcast rights. ESPN also applies location checks and event blackout rules.

Find the exact game or programme in the Canadian broadcaster’s schedule. Check the required channel or streaming plan, including any regional restrictions.

Connect a residential US IP and verify it resolves
If you are setting up USip for your eligible US account, connect using OpenVPN Connect and your USip profile. Confirm that the VPN public IP shows United States before opening ESPN.

Check your ESPN plan or activated provider entitlement, then try the intended event. Record any location, blackout or account message; each points to a different check.

Is ESPN+ available in Canada?
The US ESPN service, including Select and Unlimited, is limited to the US and supported territories. ESPN+ content is available through those US plans. In Canada, check the event’s local broadcaster and subscription requirements.
What is the difference between ESPN+ and ESPN Select?

Does a Disney+, Crave or TSN bundle include US ESPN?

Can I watch ESPN on a TV with USip?
TV-style devices use USip Smart DNS configured on the TV or router, after registering your home public IP. You also need the supported ESPN app and your own eligible ESPN account. Check the particular event; playback is not guaranteed.
How do I check whether TSN carries my event?
Look up the exact event in TSN’s current Canadian schedule and check the required channel or streaming subscription. A US ESPN listing does not establish which service holds the Canadian rights.
