Adverts fund it
In Tubi’s words: “Tubi is free, but it’s supported by advertising.” Films and series come with advert breaks, as on commercial television.
Short answer: there is no Tubi service for Singapore. Tubi’s help centre introduces its page for viewers abroad with “If you’re located outside the United States, you can watch Tubi on the following devices:” and then names Canada, Australia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama and the United Kingdom. Singapore isn’t there; the closest entry is Australia. When we looked on 11 October 2026, the Tubi app was not in the Singapore App Store.
For free, legal viewing, Singapore has options of its own. Mediacorp’s mewatch carries CNA, Channel 5, Channel 8, Channel U, Suria and Vasantham live, while Samsung TV Plus and LG Channels come built into those brands’ smart TVs. Each has its own line-up, and none of them is Tubi.
Want the American service anyway? Take a laptop, switch on USip’s residential U.S. IP, visit tubitv.com in a private browser window and start any free title as a guest, which Tubi allows without an account. Ten minutes shows what Tubi does with your connection that day. Nothing can promise more, because Tubi decides which connections it accepts.

Free viewing is not new to Singapore. Three services here offer it; below is what their owners say about each, including any sign-in.
| Service | What it is | How to watch, and any sign-in |
|---|---|---|
| mewatch (Mediacorp) | Mediacorp calls it “Singapore’s all-in-one video streaming app”. It streams CNA, Channel 5, Channel 8, Channel U, Suria and Vasantham live, along with other free channels and shows on demand. | Through the app or mewatch.sg. A meconnect sign-in brings watchlists, recommendations and downloads. Prime, Mediacorp’s subscription tier, removes the adverts; some partner content also needs a subscription. |
| Samsung TV Plus | Free channels with adverts, built into Samsung smart TVs. Samsung warns that channels differ from country to country and can change without notice. | On a Samsung smart TV (the page cites sets from 2016 in one place, 2019 in another). The FAQ promises “no sign up”; a footnote says the service “Requires Samsung account.” |
| LG Channels | LG’s free service of live and on-demand channels for LG smart TVs from 2016 onwards and webOS monitors, with a phone route through the ThinQ app. Line-ups differ by country. | On the TV or monitor. LG’s footnote says its network-based smart services need an LG Account. The page doesn’t mention adverts either way. |
Start from what you want to watch. Mediacorp dramas, local news and CNA belong on mewatch, with no address question at all. For free channels on the big screen, look at the brand of your TV first: on a Samsung or an LG, a free service may already sit on the home screen. Tubi offers something else, a large American library and live U.S. channels such as the NFL Channel, and none of the three is a local version of it.
Line-ups change without notice. We read Mediacorp’s app description in Apple’s App Store, and the Samsung and LG Singapore pages, on 11 October 2026. Mediacorp’s description doesn’t say whether every programme plays without signing in, and we could not confirm it from Mediacorp’s own help pages.

Tubi gives no reason for leaving Singapore off its list, so we won’t invent one. Below is each thing we checked, the result and its source.
| What we checked | What we found | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Tubi’s list of places outside the U.S. | Ten entries: Canada, Australia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama and the United Kingdom. No Singapore. | Tubi Help Center, “Supported Devices Outside of the US”, read 11 October 2026 |
| Apple’s App Store | No Tubi app in the Singapore store. “Tubi: Movies & Live TV” appeared in the U.S., UK, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, Mexican and Puerto Rican stores. | Apple’s App Store, looked up on 11 October 2026 |
| A Tubi launch in Singapore | None found. Tubi’s launch releases cover Australia (2019), Latin America (2022) and the UK (2024); we found no Tubi announcement about Singapore. | Tubi press releases and a news search, 11 October 2026 |
| Licensing | Done territory by territory: in August 2026 Tubi signed NBCUniversal and Sony deals “across Australia, Canada and the U.K.” for more than 450 library titles. | Tubi press release, 26 August 2026 |
| Tubi UK compared with Tubi’s library | Different collections: over 75,000 movies and TV episodes in the UK (July 2026), against nearly 400,000 in Tubi’s own count of its library (September 2026). | Tubi press releases, 22 July and 23 September 2026 |
Put together, the record shows Tubi opening one market at a time, each with its own licences and its own catalogue, and Singapore has not been one of them. The UK is the clearest example: over 20,000 titles at its July 2024 launch, more than 75,000 two years later, and still far short of the nearly 400,000 Tubi gives for its library. Rights are granted per territory, so two Tubi services can hold quite different films. Whether Tubi intends to come to Singapore, we don’t know; we found no statement either way.

Plenty of what is written about Tubi has aged. These six points come from Tubi’s help centre and press office, and from Fox.
In Tubi’s words: “Tubi is free, but it’s supported by advertising.” Films and series come with advert breaks, as on commercial television.
Tubi’s answer to whether newcomers need accounts: “No. You can still continue watching as a guest or register a single Tubi Account.” Kids Mode works without signing in as well.
“Tubi Accounts are for individuals who meet local age requirements, such as 13 or older in the United States.” Big live events can be another matter: for Super Bowl LIX on 9 February 2025, streamed free and live only in the U.S., Tubi said a free account was needed to view it.
Fox Corporation announced on 17 March 2020 that it would acquire Tubi. The Thanksgiving game Tubi has announced, below, is a FOX Sports broadcast.
Tubi reported 110 million monthly active users on 6 August 2026, up 14% in a year, and 2.3% of all U.S. TV viewing in April 2026 by Nielsen’s count. The library then held more than 375,000 movies and TV episodes, including over 400 Tubi Originals.
Tubi said in October 2022 that it had over 200 live sports, entertainment and news channels. In September 2026 it called the NFL Channel “the NFL's 24/7 free, always-on channel” and put the library at nearly 400,000 titles.
The same September release announces FOX Sports’ Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles game on Tubi for Thursday 26 November 2026 at 4:30 p.m. ET, which is 5:30 a.m. on Friday 27 November in Singapore. The release does not say whether the game can be watched outside the U.S., and we found nothing from Tubi or Fox that does, so we make no claim that it can.

Singapore sits on UTC+8 year-round, so only the American clock change moves the gap: 12 hours to New York until the end of October, 13 over the U.S. winter. Live channels and events on Tubi keep American hours; the on-demand library runs on yours.
| U.S. Eastern time | Singapore — U.S. dates up to Sat 31 Oct 2026, and from Sun 14 Mar 2027 | Singapore — U.S. dates from Sun 1 Nov 2026 to Sat 13 Mar 2027 |

| Noon | Midnight, as the next day begins | 1 a.m., next day |
| 8 p.m., the start of U.S. prime time | 8 a.m., next day | 9 a.m., next day |

| Thu 26 Nov 2026, 4:30 p.m.: FOX Sports’ Thanksgiving game on Tubi | Does not apply: U.S. winter time by then | Fri 27 Nov, 5:30 a.m. |
The two American switches, listed below, both land on a Sunday afternoon here, and Singapore’s own clocks never move. In practice, an American evening newscast becomes breakfast viewing on this side. Times were converted with IANA tz data, release 2026c; we found no Tubi schedule for Singapore, so check each channel’s own guide.
Library films and episodes start the moment you press play; the 12- or 13-hour gap only touches live channels and events.
Tubi counted local and national news among its live channels in October 2022. A 7 a.m. New York bulletin lands at 7 p.m. here, or 8 p.m. in the American winter.
Tubi describes it as always on, so the clock doesn’t matter. Whether it plays on a given connection is for Tubi to decide.
American summer time ends. From that afternoon every U.S. slot arrives an hour later, and 8 a.m. prime time becomes 9 a.m.
The U.S. springs forward and the gap to New York returns to 12 hours, until November 2027.
Kick-off for the Thanksgiving game in Singapore time. Tubi’s release does not say whether the game can be watched outside the U.S., and we make no claim that it can.
Fast as Singapore’s lines are, speed doesn’t come into it. Every ordinary connection here presents Tubi with a Singapore address, whichever company runs it.
| Your connection | Typical names | Seen by Tubi as |
|---|---|---|
| Home fibre | Singtel, StarHub, M1 and smaller fibre brands | Singapore |
| 4G or 5G data, or a phone hotspot | Singtel, StarHub, M1, Simba and brands using their networks | Singapore, perhaps with a Singapore IPv6 address too |
| Office, campus, condo or hotel Wi-Fi | Whoever manages the building’s network | Singapore, and the network may refuse USip’s kind of connection outright |
| Any of these with USip switched on | USip, layered over the line you have | An ordinary U.S. home address, which Tubi may still refuse |
IMDA, the regulator, publishes national totals rather than figures by provider. In its Statistics on Telecom Services for 2024 (Jul–Dec), the newest release we could open, Singapore had 9,795,900 mobile subscriptions in August 2024, a penetration rate of 165.5%, with roughly 2.15 million on 5G, plus 1,461,900 residential wired broadband subscriptions, or 93.5% of households. Fibre accounted for 1,595,100 subscriptions and DSL for 200. IMDA’s statistics page also lists a release for July to December 2025, which we could not open on 11 October 2026.
For the ranking of providers we turn to Light Reading, which reported on 24 September 2026 that StarHub and M1 rank second and third by market share, that Simba’s planned takeover of M1 had fallen through, and that Keppel and StarHub were in talks over M1, with no agreement yet. None of that changes the country Tubi reads.
What can upset the check is IPv6. A modern line may give your laptop an IPv6 address next to its IPv4 one. If the USip connection carries IPv4 only, some sites can still be reached over IPv6, straight from Singapore, and if Tubi is one of them, it sees a Singapore address. Hence the first thing the check does: read both addresses.

Making an address checker show “United States” is easy. The real difference lies in what sort of address produces that result, and the one who judges it is Tubi.
| Option | Tubi’s view | The drawback | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your Singapore line as it is | A Singapore address | Singapore is absent from Tubi’s list | Local services, and a before-and-after comparison |
| A free VPN app | Server addresses used by crowds of strangers | Busy, unstable, and each address carries other people’s history | Not this job |
| A data-centre VPN | An address owned by a hosting firm | A data-centre address is easy for a service to recognise, even when the country shows as the U.S. | Privacy on café or airport Wi-Fi |
| USip’s residential U.S. IP | A household address on an American internet provider | Tubi still rules on every connection and can say no to USip’s | One steady U.S. address for the guest check |
If a free title plays as a guest in a new private window, the address has done its job on that device.
When Tubi says no, take it as Tubi’s answer: save the exact message, reconnect one time, retry one time, then send the message to USip support.

Start where the fewest things can go wrong: a laptop browser, no app store and no account. Because Tubi lets guests watch, the only thing under examination is the connection.
Follow the Windows guide or the Mac guide to load your USip profile into OpenVPN Connect, and connect. Then visit any IP address checker. IPv4 has to read United States; an IPv6 line, if there is one, must not show Singtel, StarHub, M1, Simba or another Singapore provider. Tubi sees what the checker sees.
Private browsing begins without old cookies, so Tubi judges only the current connection. Stay signed out, and shut mewatch or other streaming tabs so Tubi’s response is the only thing on screen.
Start any film or episode and give it sixty seconds, ads and all. No account needed: Tubi’s reply on that point is “No. You can still continue watching as a guest or register a single Tubi Account.” Note the title so you can repeat the same one later.
Playback means Tubi accepted the connection on that laptop, that day. If Tubi shows an error or says something about your location, record its exact wording or screenshot it, reconnect USip a single time and try again. Should the same message return, send the wording to USip support; ten further attempts won’t change Tubi’s mind.
Dated records of earlier checks sit on a page of their own, USip’s published checks. They describe other days, devices and connections, not your line in Singapore today; your own four steps answer that.

On a laptop or phone, USip works through the OpenVPN Connect app plus a USip profile; a television needs Smart DNS instead. The four videos date from November 2022, when Tubi had an older name and different screens. What they show of the USip setup still holds. The part of the two phone videos that changes the app-store country does not, so leave it out.

In the Windows video, the USip connection comes first and Tubi’s website opens in a browser afterwards. That route still makes sense today, since it never touches an app store. With OpenVPN Connect installed and your profile imported, connect, check both addresses, and open tubitv.com in a private window.
On a company laptop that already runs the employer’s VPN, stop and use your own computer: with two tunnels running, a result means nothing.
Step by step: the Windows setup guide.

The Mac video keeps the same order, USip first and tubitv.com second. Two Mac features can steer traffic past the connection. One is iCloud Private Relay, which routes Safari via Apple; switch it off while you check, or open Chrome or Firefox instead. The other is IPv6: if your fibre line provides it, the browser may use it, so read both lines on the checker.
Step by step: the Mac setup guide.

After setting up USip, the Android video goes on to change the Play Store’s country to the U.S. Leave that step out. Google’s help page is plain about it: “To set up a new country or region, you must be in that location”, and a further change has to wait at least 90 days. Open Chrome instead, with OpenVPN Connect connected and the checker read, and go to tubitv.com.
Battery savers on some phones close apps running in the background; keep OpenVPN Connect off that list, since a silent disconnection looks just like a refusal. Google Play’s Singapore listing for Tubi was not checked, and we claim nothing about it.
Step by step: the Android setup guide.

The Singapore App Store did not have the Tubi app when we looked on 11 October 2026. In the iPhone video, the store’s country is changed to fetch it; that part no longer applies, so skip it. Apple attaches its own conditions to any move of an Apple Account from one country or region to another, and your Singapore account is where your local apps live.
Begin in Safari, OpenVPN Connect on, iCloud Private Relay off. Changing the store country is a separate decision about your whole Apple Account, made under Apple’s conditions, and it is not part of this check.
Step by step: the iOS setup guide.
A TV, streaming stick or games console can’t run OpenVPN Connect, so USip serves it through Smart DNS. Step one is registering your home connection’s public IP address with USip; step two is typing the DNS details into the device, or a single time into the router, which then covers every gadget in the flat. Should your internet provider switch that public address, register the replacement. The Smart DNS guide covers it all.
Smart DNS alters what Tubi sees from the TV. It cannot put the Tubi app onto a television whose app store doesn’t carry it in Singapore, and we could not confirm what TV app stores show here. If the router belongs to the landlord, set Smart DNS on the TV or stick.

One residential U.S. IP — an ordinary consumer address on a U.S. ISP, not a server range. USip and Tubi are separate services: the plans include the connection only — not a Tubi account, an app-store region or the rights to any channel, series or film.
Separate services: these prices are for the USip residential U.S. IP service only. Tubi is a separate service, free with ads; a Tubi account and access to any particular channel, series or film are not part of a USip plan.
Which apps a store lists depends on the country of your account, and a U.S. connection leaves that country unchanged. That is the whole reason this guide starts in a browser.
When we looked on 11 October 2026, the Tubi app was not in the Singapore App Store. “Tubi: Movies & Live TV” by Tubi, Inc was in the U.S., UK, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, Mexican and Puerto Rican stores.
Apple lists what must be settled before an Apple Account moves to another country or region. That is a decision about everything on the account, far bigger than one free app.
Google says you set a new Play country only from inside it, and that changes are at least 90 days apart. We did not check Google Play in Singapore for Tubi and make no claim about it.
In a laptop browser there is no store and no store country; the only install is OpenVPN Connect. That is where the ten-minute check begins.
For the U.S., Tubi lists Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV (4th generation), Android TV, Chromecast, Samsung, LG, Hisense and Vizio TVs, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series S/X, and the web. It is an American list, not a promise for Singapore.
Televisions and sticks run app stores of their own, and we could not confirm what they offer in Singapore. Smart DNS changes what Tubi sees from a TV; it adds no app that the TV’s store lacks.
So the order is laptop browser first, phone browser second, and the television last.

Many readers raise the law first. Singapore’s Government Technology Agency addresses VPNs directly, and the courts have ruled on piracy sites, which is a separate question.
On a GovTech page first published on 25 June 2019, the agency states: “The usage of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) is generally legal in Singapore for personal use.” It goes straight on: “However, using a VPN to commit illegal activities remains unlawful and will be subject to the existing laws of Singapore.” It also notes that organisations can have rules of their own. We know of no Singapore law that prohibits VPN software in itself.
Where Singapore blocks, the target is piracy. Copyright owners may apply to the High Court for orders requiring internet providers to disable access to sites that flagrantly infringe copyright. In a September 2018 judgment won by Disney and other film studios, nine providers, Singtel, StarHub and M1 among them, were told to take reasonable steps to block 53 sites offering films without authorisation. Tubi, a free and licensed service, is not that kind of site.
Beyond the law, a workplace, school or condo network may set acceptable-use rules, and those deserve a look before you install anything on a device someone else manages. And Tubi makes its own calls: it can refuse any connection, USip’s included. Nothing here suggests that Tubi approves of USip, or promises that a title will play.
None of this is legal advice; USip is a connection provider, not a law firm. Laws and their application change over time, so where the answer matters to your work or circumstances, ask a qualified Singapore lawyer.

Each answer leans on a named source: Tubi’s help centre and press releases, Apple, Google, Mediacorp, Samsung, LG, IMDA or GovTech. Where the outcome is up to someone else, the answer says who.
No. Tubi’s page for viewers abroad starts “If you’re located outside the United States, you can watch Tubi on the following devices:” and lists Canada, Australia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama and the United Kingdom. Singapore is not on it, and when we looked on 11 October 2026, the Tubi app was not in the Singapore App Store. What a reader here might reach is the American service, through a U.S. connection, and Tubi may turn that connection away.
Tubi hasn’t explained, and we won’t speculate. On 11 October 2026, “Tubi: Movies & Live TV” was in the U.S., UK, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, Mexican and Puerto Rican stores, but not Singapore’s. A store shows apps by account country, so connecting through a U.S. address won’t make it appear. In a laptop browser, tubitv.com needs no store.
Not that we could find. Tubi’s launch releases cover Australia in 2019, Latin America in 2022 and the UK in July 2024, where it started with over 20,000 titles. We found no Tubi announcement about Singapore, and its help centre’s list of places leaves Singapore out. If that changes, so will this page.
Yes, with adverts: “Tubi is free, but it’s supported by advertising.” There is no plan to choose, and you can watch as a guest. USip, a separate company, provides the residential U.S. IP connection and has nothing to do with Tubi’s own offer. Seen from Singapore, the free Tubi in question is the U.S. service, which may accept or refuse your connection.
Not to begin with. Tubi says: “No. You can still continue watching as a guest or register a single Tubi Account.” Kids Mode also works signed out. If you do create an account, there is an age rule: “Tubi Accounts are for individuals who meet local age requirements, such as 13 or older in the United States.” Large live events can differ; Tubi said a free account was required for Super Bowl LIX on 9 February 2025.
With it, Tubi reads an everyday American home address rather than your Singapore one, something no Singapore line can offer. The outcome is still Tubi’s: it decides which connections to let through, and USip’s can be turned away like any other. A ten-minute guest check on a laptop shows what happens on your device that day.
No. USip’s product is one residential U.S. IP connection, full stop. It comes without a Tubi account, without an app-store region and without rights to a single film, series or channel. Tubi is a separate, free service owned by Fox; it alone decides what to show and which connections to accept, and USip has no say in either.
No: two services, two libraries. Tubi UK opened in July 2024 with over 20,000 movies and TV episodes and had grown past 75,000 by July 2026, while Tubi put its library at nearly 400,000 in September 2026. Tubi licenses titles per territory; its August 2026 NBCUniversal and Sony deals covered Australia, Canada and the UK.
Not as the first step. TVs can’t run OpenVPN Connect; Smart DNS is how USip handles them, tied to the public IP address of your home and set on the TV or router. That changes what Tubi sees from the set, but it adds no Tubi app to a TV store that lacks one, and we could not confirm what TV stores offer here. Begin with the laptop.
Breakfast time. With Singapore on UTC+8 all year, 8 p.m. in New York becomes 8 a.m. the following morning here for U.S. evenings up to Saturday 31 October 2026, then 9 a.m. from Sunday 1 November 2026 until Saturday 13 March 2027. The American change takes effect at 2 p.m. Singapore time on 1 November.
Nothing says you can. Tubi’s release of 23 September 2026 announces FOX Sports’ Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles game for Thursday 26 November 2026 at 4:30 p.m. ET, 5:30 a.m. on Friday 27 November in Singapore. The release does not say whether the game can be watched outside the U.S., and we found nothing from Tubi or Fox that does.
GovTech, the Government Technology Agency, writes that “The usage of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) is generally legal in Singapore for personal use”, while using one for illegal activities stays unlawful. We know of no Singapore law against VPN software in itself. Employers, schools and condo networks may set rules, and Tubi decides what it accepts. This is not legal advice.

Singapore has free, legal television of its own: mewatch for Mediacorp’s channels and shows, and Samsung TV Plus or LG Channels on those brands’ sets. Tubi is American, its own list of places leaves Singapore out, and its app was not in the Singapore App Store on 11 October 2026.
If you still want to know how Tubi treats a U.S. household address, ten minutes will tell you: USip on, both addresses checked, tubitv.com in a private window, one free title as a guest. If it plays, you have your answer for that laptop today. If Tubi objects, save its exact message, reconnect a single time, have one more go, then forward the message to USip support.
USip supplies the residential U.S. IP connection only. Tubi is a separate, free service owned by Fox; it decides which connections it accepts and can refuse any, USip’s included.
