Canada is one of only two countries outside the United States where you can buy something called Fubo. It is not the same product, it does not cost the same, and on one significant count it is better than the American one.
Fubo sells in Canada, so you are not locked out of the brand — but the Canadian service is sports-only since 30 April 2026 and carries different rights. It also holds exclusive Canadian streaming rights to every Premier League match, which the US service does not have. Work out which catalogue you actually want before assuming the American one is the upgrade.
Sold, current, and narrower than it was a year ago.
Most “watch Fubo in Canada” pages are written as though Canada were a blocked market. It is not. Fubo has been sold here for years, it is listed in Fubo’s own availability article alongside the United States and Spain, and it has a Canadian help centre with Canadian prices in Canadian dollars.

Those plans ended on 30 April 2026. Premium subscribers outside Quebec were moved onto the Sports base plan on 17 April 2026 with a prorated credit for the price difference; anyone holding Premium or Entertainment through Roku had until 9 July 2026. Fubo did not leave Canada. It stopped pretending to be a general-entertainment service here and went back to being a sports one.

In April 2025 Fubo renewed the Canadian Premier League rights on a multi-year deal starting with the 2025/26 season. It holds exclusive Canadian streaming rights to all 380 matches, plus the shoulder programming.

Read that next to what a British viewer can buy and the ranking inverts. The Premier League sells roughly 267 of its 380 matches for live UK broadcast; in Canada, one subscription carries all of them. If the Premier League is why you are reading this page, the Canadian service is not the compromise. It is the better one.

Fubo Help Center — is Fubo available in my country?
That single sentence is the one most pages about Fubo abroad leave out, and it is the one that matters most to a Canadian subscriber. The name on the app is the same. The rights behind it are not, in either direction.

Fubo currently sells Pro, Core, Elite and Ultra as English-language TV plans, a Sports + News service and a Spanish-language Latino plan. The figures above are Fubo’s own, published in its help centre and checked on 21 September 2026.
They went up in 2026 after Fubo agreed carriage of NBCUniversal’s networks, announced on 10 June 2026: TV plans by $15 a month, the Sports service by $9. Fubo does not give a single switchover date — it says the date “will vary depending on when NBCUniversal channels become available in your area”. A regional sports fee of $15.99 a month applies where NBC’s regional networks are carried.
Converted roughly, the Canadian Sports plan sits near the bottom of that table and the American entertainment tiers sit well above it. The American plans buy US local channels, US regional sports networks and the entertainment networks Canada lost in April 2026. They do not buy the Premier League package Canada already has.
That is the trade, stated plainly: American breadth against Canadian football rights. Which is worth more depends entirely on what you watch, and a page selling you something should say so rather than assume.
These are Fubo’s published product rules. They apply to every subscriber and they are the part people discover late.
Fubo’s travel article states that the American service is available in the United States and its territories, and that a subscriber travelling outside those areas will not be able to watch it.
The ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC affiliates on an American plan are decided by where the stream is happening rather than where the account was opened. They are the part of the package least likely to behave the way a new subscriber expects.
Regional Sports Networks do travel, but a device used outside the home area must be checked in from the home area at least once every thirty days. Miss the window and the network stops appearing on that device.
Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, Roku, Xbox and smart TVs stream from a single location at a time. Phones, tablets and web browsers do not carry that restriction.

Two of those land differently for a Canadian reader. The local-channel rule is the reason an American plan bought from Toronto does not simply hand you a Buffalo or Detroit affiliate: the affiliate follows the stream, not the billing address. And the thirty-day check-in is a rule the Canadian service has no equivalent of, because there are no American regional sports networks in it to check in to.
Which is the quieter argument for reading the Canadian channel table properly before switching. A Sports plan at home has none of these conditions attached to it.

From Canada the question is unusual, because you are not choosing between access and no access. You already have a Fubo you can legally buy. The choice is between two real subscriptions with different rights, and the network is the smallest part of that decision — the Premier League comparison further up this page is the larger part.
Most Canadian regret about Fubo comes from cancelling one service to get another and finding the swap went the wrong way.
Write them down before you look at any plan page. If the Premier League is on that list, the Canadian service already holds every match and no American plan replaces it.
The Premium, Entertainment and Entertainment Plus tiers are gone. If what you miss is the entertainment networks rather than sport, that is a different problem from a geography problem and a different service solves it.
