Tubi TV from Germany
Tubi does not list Germany among its supported markets. It is free with ads where available, but a US connection does not guarantee playback. Our 9 October 2026 test from Germany passed on a Fire TV Stick using USip Smart DNS. Below, check that exact result and choose the setup for your own device.
Start with availability, the app and the programme you want. USip provides a residential US IP connection on computers and phones; TVs and streaming devices use Smart DNS. Tubi and USip are separate services.
Official sources reviewed 17 October 2026
Germany is absent from Tubi’s current official coverage list. The service does operate outside the US, including the UK, Canada and Australia, so “US-only” is also inaccurate. A German visitor may see a regional availability message rather than a playable catalogue.
A title being listed in search results does not establish that it will play from Germany. Tubi explains that licensing differs by country and that VPNs can block playback. Check the actual programme on your device; a successful US IP lookup alone is not a streaming test.
This is a dated observation of that title and setup. It does not verify every Fire TV, smartphone, live channel or programme. The USip team compares catalogues before and after connecting; the record identifies what was actually played. Browse all results, including issues and failed checks for the wider context.
Tubi funds viewing through advertising and does not charge a streaming subscription. Its help centre also describes guest viewing and optional free accounts. Follow the sign-in prompts for the app or content you choose.
USip has its own trial and paid plans. Paying for USip does not remove Tubi’s ads, add missing programmes or change Tubi’s regional rules. The pricing block below is for USip, not a Tubi subscription. Check your intended device during the trial before relying on it for a particular programme.
| Device | USip route | Check first |
|---|---|---|
| Windows or Mac | OpenVPN Connect with your USip profile | Use Tubi’s website in a supported browser. |
| Android, iPhone or iPad | OpenVPN Connect with your USip profile | Check the official app listing and your store’s availability. |
| Fire TV, smart TV or console | Smart DNS on the device or router | Confirm USip access, the Tubi app and public-IP registration. |
A computer browser avoids the separate app-store installation step. For TV hardware, Tubi’s installation guide lists supported devices, but this does not promise the app in every country’s store. A connection change does not automatically change your Apple, Google or Amazon account region.
USip supports one simultaneous VPN connection. The assigned public IP is exclusive to one USip customer at a time, but is not permanent; city or state selection is unavailable. Keep the VPN connected while testing on that device.
For TV-like devices, follow the USip Smart DNS guide. First confirm that your USip account has access and that your device can run Tubi. From the same home connection, register the current public IP with USip. Then enter the supplied DNS addresses on the TV or router as the guide explains, restart the app and test playback.
If your internet provider changes your home public IP, update its registration. Do not register a VPN exit address in place of the home address. Smart DNS does not provide VPN encryption, and a general IP checker can still show Germany. Judge the streaming result in Tubi rather than treating that IP-check result as a failure.
If Tubi is missing from your app store, check the official listing and device support. Review Apple’s account-region instructions or Google Play’s country rules before changing account settings; existing purchases and subscriptions can be affected. On a computer, use the official website without installing a TV app.
German subtitles or dubbing are not guaranteed. Tubi separates interface language from title languages. Open the player’s audio and caption options for the actual film or episode. Changing the menu language does not add a German soundtrack.
If the same problem remains, send USip Support the device, connection method, title and error text. Avoid changing several settings at once: it makes a working configuration harder to identify.

Germany is not listed in Tubi’s current official coverage. This page describes availability and USip setup, not a German Tubi launch.
Tubi is free and ad-supported. USip is a separate connection service with its own trial and subscription; it does not remove Tubi advertising.
Tubi does not sell a paid streaming subscription. Its help centre describes guest viewing and optional free accounts. Follow the current sign-in requirements for your chosen app or content.
Yes. The 9 October 2026 record shows 10 minutes of Forensic Files S1E1 on Fire TV Stick 4K Max using Smart DNS on a FRITZ!Box router. It applies to that setup and date.
Use the USip Smart DNS setup for TV-like devices. Computers and phones use OpenVPN Connect with a USip profile. The recorded Fire TV test used DNS on the router.
Check the particular title’s player options. Neither a US connection nor changing the interface language guarantees German dubbing or subtitles.
No. Tubi can restrict playback by location or connection, and catalogue licences change. Test your own device and programme; a past successful check is not a current guarantee.
