Tubi in Greece: Android Setup and a Recorded Playback Test
Our Greece check recorded eight minutes of Kitchen Nightmares on Android using OpenVPN Connect with a USip profile. Use the result to choose what to test on your own device; it does not establish that every Tubi title or connection works.
Ελληνικά →Is Tubi available in Greece?
As checked on 21 October 2026, Greece does not appear in Tubi’s supported-market list outside the US. The list includes the UK and several markets elsewhere, so “Tubi is unavailable everywhere outside America” would be inaccurate.
Access to the US catalogue is a separate question. Tubi explains that licensing varies by country and that its location checks use your IP address. It also warns that VPN connections can interfere with playback. A US connection can therefore be worth testing, but the connection status alone cannot establish that Tubi will play.
If you only want one programme, first check the exact season and episode through services already available to you in Greece. A different regional edition may carry different seasons, audio or subtitles.
What played in our Greece test?
This is a recorded on-demand check from Greece. The guide’s update date does not change the date of the test.

Eight minutes of an episode is evidence of video playback, rather than merely opening the website. It is not a full-episode test, a live-channel test or confirmation of Greek subtitles. We have not established the same result on every Android device.

Free Tubi and a USip trial are different things
Tubi is funded by advertising and does not require a payment card. You do not need to buy a Tubi subscription or obtain a US billing address to pay for its free catalogue. A Tubi profile, your Google Play account and a USip subscription serve different purposes.
USip supplies the connection. Its VPN trial lasts three days, requires a payment method and becomes a paid subscription at the selected billing interval unless cancelled. Check the current amount at checkout and cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first charge. See USip plans and trial terms.
How to check Tubi on an Android phone or tablet
- Check the viewing app first. Search for Tubi in Google Play. Tubi’s installation instructions describe this route. If your store does not offer the app, treat that as a separate availability issue; a VPN connection does not itself install it.
- Prepare your USip access. Have an active VPN trial or subscription and the connection details supplied by USip.
- Follow the USip Android setup guide. Install OpenVPN Connect and add or select the supplied USip profile. Installing OpenVPN Connect alone does not activate the service.
- Connect and check the country. Wait for the VPN to show Connected. Use an IP lookup on that Android device to confirm a US connection.
- Reopen Tubi and select your episode. Check the season, language options and whether the programme is on-demand or live.
- Watch beyond the initial screen. Confirm that the programme itself plays with sound and continues normally. If an advertisement appears, check that playback resumes afterwards.
Make this check on the phone or tablet you intend to use regularly. A result obtained on Wi-Fi does not establish performance on a different mobile connection.
If the app opens but the programme does not play
| What you see | Useful next check |
|---|---|
| Tubi is missing from Google Play | Check the store’s app availability for your account and device. This happens before the playback test. |
| A location or availability message | Confirm the active connection, close and reopen Tubi, and note whether every title or only one title is affected. |
| The episode starts, then stops | Check the normal internet connection and app updates. Record the error and the point where playback stopped. |
| No Greek audio or subtitles | Inspect that title’s language options. A US IP cannot add a track the service does not supply. |
Tubi’s error-code guide separates connection errors from playback and device-protection problems. Avoid treating every failure as a country block. For help with the USip connection, send Support the error, device category and title you tried.
Does the Android result also cover a TV?
No. This result concerns Android playback through VPN. Connecting the phone does not establish that a television or casting receiver uses the same route.
For a television, follow the Smart DNS guide and confirm account access with Support first. Smart DNS uses a different setup. The Cyprus Samsung TV guide describes an earlier, separate TV test; it is not evidence of a Greek TV test.
What to check before keeping a paid plan
Use the trial for the programme you actually want, on your own device and connection. Record whether it starts, continues, has the required language options and fits your usual viewing routine. Do not base a subscription decision solely on a visible catalogue or an IP lookup.
If your desired title does not play, report the result before the trial ends. Tubi remains free; the decision is whether the separate USip connection is useful to you. Review the trial and billing options.
USip plans & trial
Check the current price and trial conditions before subscribing. Streaming subscriptions and USip connection plans are separate. For Smart DNS, confirm access and compatibility with Support first.

Do I need a US credit card for Tubi in Greece?
Tubi’s free service does not require a payment card. USip is separate: its VPN trial requires a payment method and renews as a paid plan unless cancelled.
Was Tubi retested when this guide was published?
No. The documented Greece check is dated 13 October 2026. It recorded eight minutes of Kitchen Nightmares S1E1 on Android through OpenVPN Connect with a USip profile.
Does the test prove that Tubi Live TV works?
No. It was an on-demand episode test. A live channel or special event needs its own playback check.
Can I use the browser if I cannot install the Android app?
Tubi supports web viewing in its supported markets, but this Greece result was an Android-app check. Browser playback from your connection is a separate test, not a demonstrated substitute.
