Short answer: there is no Peacock in Germany. The Peacock area inside Sky closed on 9 January 2024 and Peacock has never been sold directly to German customers. Peacock's own help page is explicit — the service streams “within the United States and certain U.S. territories.”
Germany is the market where that matters least, though. In August 2025 Sky and WOW expanded their NBCUniversal deal and now take first-run rights to selected NBCU series plus early access to Universal's films; Hayu carries the Bravo reality catalogue separately. Check WOW and Hayu before you spend anything here — in Germany that check is more likely to succeed than anywhere else on this site.
What no German service sells is NBC's live American sport: Sunday Night Football, the NBA, the Olympics, next-day NBC. For that, a residential U.S. IP presents a U.S. location to Peacock. It is not a subscription and not a payment method, and Peacock's terms say you “may not access or use the Peacock Service if you are outside of the United States.” We quote that rather than talk around it.
Peacock ran inside Sky Deutschland until 9 January 2024, when the Peacock-branded area closed across Sky's territories. There has never been a German Peacock sold directly, and there is no sign of one coming — Comcast's position has been that Peacock does not launch as a standalone service outside the United States.
Germany is, however, the market where what replaced it is strongest. That is worth your attention before anything else on this page, because it is the case most likely to end with you not needing us.
Sky Deutschland and WOW expanded their multi-year NBCUniversal agreement, taking first-run rights to selected NBCU series — The Copenhagen Test and The Paper were named — plus early access to Universal films such as Wicked: Part Two and Jurassic World: Rebirth, and continued Fast & Furious and Minions access.
The NBCUniversal reality slate is Hayu's, available in Germany independently of Sky: Below Deck and its regional editions, the Real Housewives franchises, Summer House, Vanderpump Rules, Southern Charm. No US address required for any of it.
RTL closed its acquisition of Sky Deutschland in June 2026. What that eventually means for the NBCUniversal agreement has not been announced, and we are not going to guess at it — the deal was multi-year when signed and nothing published so far points to it ending.
The order that saves you money: WOW first, then Hayu, and only then this page. If the series you want is a scripted NBCU original, Germany is the market where it is most likely to be available locally and first-run.
Strip out everything Sky, WOW and Hayu legitimately sell you in Germany and what is left is a short, specific list. It is almost entirely live, and almost entirely NBC.
One correction first, because German-language guides repeat it: WWE is no longer on Peacock. Main-roster Premium Live Events moved to ESPN in September 2025 and NXT livestreaming ended on 15 March 2026.

German home broadband has a structural quirk that matters here more than in most countries: a large share of German lines run DS-Lite rather than a full dual stack. You get a real IPv6 address of your own, and your IPv4 traffic is carried through the provider's shared infrastructure — so the IPv4 address the outside world sees is not yours alone.
Vodafone's cable customers are the most commonly discussed case, Deutsche Glasfaser documents dual-stack with CGNAT, and Telekom lines vary by tariff and region. This is an addressing policy, not a fault, and for most purposes it is invisible. It stops being invisible the moment a streaming service starts scoring the address rather than just reading its country.
On a DS-Lite line the IPv4 address Peacock would see belongs to a pool, not to you. Whatever anyone else on that pool has done is attached to it. That is a reputation problem sitting underneath the country problem, and it is why two German households on the same tariff can get different answers from the same service on the same day.
A datacentre endpoint shared by thousands of VPN subscribers is still a shared address — and one whose entire population is doing exactly what you are. Swapping a Vodafone pool for a hosting range is not obviously an improvement from the scoring side.
What USip supplies is an ordinary residential U.S. connection rather than a hosting range. It looks like a home because it is one. That is an advantage in how the address is scored — not a guarantee, and we are not going to dress it up as one. Peacock can block any address, ours included, at any time.
Check your own line before assuming anything: if your router shows an IPv6 address and a 100.64.x.x-range IPv4 address on the WAN side, you are behind carrier-grade NAT. That is worth knowing regardless of what you decide about this page.
Order matters more than any single setting. Most reports that look like a blocked address turn out to be a cookie written by a page opened a moment too early.

Connect, check that a public-IP checker reports United States rather than Germany, and only then load peacocktv.com. Load it first and the request Peacock judged left from a Telekom, Vodafone, 1&1 or O2 address — and that decision then lives in a cookie that survives every fix you make afterwards.

Devices differ in what they hide, not in what Peacock checks. Start on a computer, where the connection, the public address and the cookies are all visible at once. Open fritz.box, look at Internet → Online-Monitor, and note the IPv4 address. Anything in 100.64.x.x means your line is behind carrier-grade NAT and your IPv4 is shared. That single number explains more German streaming oddities than every browser setting combined. Then connect, confirm a dual-stack checker reports the United States on both families, and open peacocktv.com in a private window.

iCloud Private Relay pushes Safari through Apple's own network and straight past the connection you established — switch it off before testing. After that, macOS prefers IPv6 aggressively, and on a German dual-stack line it will have a real one. If Chrome plays and Safari refuses, Private Relay is the reason; if both refuse while a checker says United States, IPv6 is.

Apple serves the Peacock app by Apple Account country, so a German account will not show you the US app however the network is configured. Changing that country affects subscriptions, store credit, rentals and family sharing — and if you buy WOW through Apple, it affects that too. It outlasts this experiment, so decide it deliberately rather than in the middle of a test.

Google Play serves apps by account country, with the same consequences as Apple's. Separately, exempt the VPN client from battery optimisation: Android kills background connections hard, and a tunnel dropped mid-episode is indistinguishable from a block. Samsung's and Xiaomi's German retail builds are noticeably more aggressive here than stock Android.

Sky Q, Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast and PlayStation cannot run the connection themselves, so it has to live on the router — which moves every device in the house at once. On a DS-Lite line this is also where incoming connections and some router VPN features stop working as documented, so expect the Fritz!Box configuration to take longer than the laptop did.
If a browser on the same network plays an episode and a TV app does not, the network is not the problem — store region or cached app data is, and reconnecting will not touch either.

Location and payment fail at the same moment in the signup flow, which is why they get confused. If you reached a page that shows plans, the address worked — anything failing after that is billing.
A German card paying a US merchant is an ordinary cross-border transaction. Your bank may add a currency fee; some issuers hold a first recurring US charge until you confirm it. The billing address field is where people get stuck, and it is the one place we will not offer a workaround — §5.1 prohibits fictitious information, and an invented address is exactly that.

With location settled, what is left are ordinary streaming problems with ordinary fixes.
Open your Fritz!Box or provider router and look at the WAN address. An IPv4 address in the 100.64.0.0/10 range means carrier-grade NAT — your IPv4 is shared. Some German providers will move a line to full dual stack on request, sometimes free and sometimes for a monthly fee, and that is worth asking about whatever you decide here.
German lines hand out real IPv6 addresses. If your client tunnels IPv4 only and the browser prefers IPv6, the request leaves on a German IPv6 address while you are looking at a US IPv4 in a checker. Use a checker that reports both, not one.
Fritz!Box firmware has its own VPN and DNS features that interact with a client running on the PC — DNS rebind protection in particular can quietly redirect lookups. If a laptop works on a mobile hotspot and fails on the home line, the router is the difference.
German fibre and cable lines are rarely the limiting factor. If an episode plays but softens and sharpens every half-minute after everything above is clean, that is ordinary bitrate adaptation — prefer 5GHz or a cable, and stop debugging location.
Two different situations. If you already hold a US Peacock account — an expat, a returning US resident, someone on a US family plan — you are re-reaching something you already pay for. If you are creating a new account from Germany, you are opening a US subscription from outside the US, and Peacock's terms address that directly.

Not as a German customer. Peacock is not sold in Germany, and the Peacock area inside Sky closed on 9 January 2024. Peacock's own help page says the service “is currently available to stream within the United States and certain U.S. territories.” Opening peacocktv.com from a German address returns a page headed “Unavailable In Your Region.”
The same thing that happened in the UK, on the same date: on 9 January 2024 the Peacock-branded area closed across Sky's territories and the content moved into Sky's own products under Sky's own rights. Nothing was rebranded as a German Peacock, because there is no German Peacock to rebrand it as.

No. Main-roster Premium Live Events moved to ESPN in September 2025, and NXT livestreaming on Peacock ended on 15 March 2026. A lot of German-language guides still list WWE as a Peacock selling point; they are out of date.
Section 1.1 of the Terms of Use: “You may not access or use the Peacock Service if you are outside of the United States (including its territories and possessions) or are barred from receiving the Peacock Service under these Terms of Service or applicable law.” That is Peacock's wording, not our summary of it, and it is the single most important sentence on this page.
They do, in §5.1: “You may not provide fictitious information or conceal your identity or location, including in an attempt to circumvent limits associated with Promotions or geographic Content restrictions.” So be clear-eyed about it. Peacock may block an address or an account at any point. USip sells a residential U.S. IP connection, not a guarantee about Peacock's response to it, and any provider promising you otherwise is overselling. You should decide with that sentence in front of you.
It is not built to. Peacock is sold for use inside the United States and its territories, and §1.1 above states the restriction in the negative. There is no travel allowance. EU portability rules, which let an EU resident take an EU subscription across the bloc, do not apply — Peacock is not an EU service and you are not carrying an EU subscription.

Premium and Premium Plus. Select does not carry the full live sport and next-day NBC slate. If live American sport is the entire reason you are reading this, Select is not the tier — check Peacock's own plan comparison, because tier contents change more often than prices.
Frequently, and German institutional networks are stricter than most. DFN-connected universities and large corporate networks commonly block outbound tunnel ports outright and force their own resolvers. This is not something a client setting fixes. Test on a phone's mobile hotspot: if that works and the building's Wi-Fi does not, the building is the answer.
Yes. VPNs are lawful and entirely ordinary in Germany — they are standard practice for Homeoffice access, and German data-protection culture treats them as a privacy tool rather than a suspicious one. What is at issue on this page is contractual, not criminal: Peacock's terms restrict access from outside the US and prohibit concealing location, and the realistic consequence is a blocked address or account. We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice.
Peacock is US-only everywhere, but the local alternative differs sharply by market — and that is what decides whether any of this is worth doing.
