Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels
Where Showtime-made series stand in Belgium, October 2026
We looked for Showtime-made series on Belgian services in Dutch and in French, starting with the services’ own pages. The result is thin: Paramount brands are easy to find on Belgian television, but very little turns up under the Showtime name.
| Service or brand | In Belgium, as far as we could confirm | Next to the U.S. Showtime on Paramount+ |
|---|
| Streamz, Flanders | World Screen reported on 2 November 2023 that a Paramount+ branded area would open on Streamz, and Streamz’s chief executive said Flemish viewers would get it from that December. That report did not mention Showtime, and we could not confirm from Streamz’s own pages whether the area still exists in October 2026. | A local selection, if it is still there. In the U.S., Paramount+ describes its Premium plan as carrying “all of SHOWTIME®”. |
| SkyShowtime | Not offered in Belgium. SkyShowtime’s release of 17 June 2025 lists its 22 markets, from Albania to Sweden; the Netherlands is one of them, Belgium is not. | Where it does operate, SkyShowtime carries Dexter: Resurrection, which it announced for 12 September 2025. |
| RTL Play, RTBF Auvio, Proximus Pickx, VOO and Be tv | Our searches on 9 October 2026 found no first-party page from these services naming a Showtime-made series. That is a gap in what we could find, not proof that none is there. | “Dexter®: Resurrection” appears on Paramount+’s Showtime brand page. |
| MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon | Paramount channels on Belgian television. When we read BASE’s channel list on 6 October 2026, the Telenet brand listed all three among its Dutch-language channels and Nickelodeon among its French-language ones. | Related Paramount brands with Belgian schedules of their own, not part of Showtime. |
| Paramount+ itself | Not available: Belgium is missing from the regions list, though France and Germany are on it, and neither Paramount+ app was in the Belgian App Store on 9 October 2026. | The home of the U.S. Showtime catalogue since Showtime’s own app shut on 30 April 2024. |
That leaves a Belgian viewer with three open questions rather than one answer. Does Streamz still have its Paramount+ area, and is any of it from Showtime? Is there a French-language home for Showtime-made series that our searches missed? And what does the U.S. catalogue hold? Only the last has a firm answer here: by Paramount+’s own description, all of Showtime sits in Paramount+ Premium, a plan for the U.S.
Living near the Dutch border does not change the picture. SkyShowtime’s Dutch service is for the Netherlands, and SkyShowtime’s own list does not include Belgium as a market.
Catalogues and channel line-ups change. Streamz, the French-language services and Paramount+ all add and remove series as their licences allow, so check the service’s own page on the day you want to watch. If a Belgian service turns out to carry the Showtime series you are after, that is the simpler way to watch, and it needs nothing from USip.

Brussels keeps Central European Time
From Brussels to New York and Los Angeles, October 2026 to April 2027
Showtime’s on-demand episodes keep no timetable, so the gap matters mainly for live CBS, which Premium lists, and for anything announced for a U.S. hour. Most of the year, Brussels runs six hours later than New York and nine later than Los Angeles.
| U.S. time | Brussels, usual six-hour gap | Brussels, during the short weeks |
|---|
| 11 a.m. Eastern | 5 p.m. | 4 p.m. |
| 1 p.m. Eastern, 10 a.m. Pacific | 7 p.m. | 6 p.m. |
| 7 p.m. Eastern, 4 p.m. Pacific | 1 a.m. | Midnight |
| 9 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. Pacific | 3 a.m. | 2 a.m. |
| Midnight in New York, 9 p.m. in Los Angeles | 6 a.m. | 5 a.m. |
| 10 p.m. Pacific | 7 a.m. | 6 a.m. |
The short weeks come twice in the months ahead. Belgian clocks fall back an hour on Sunday 25 October 2026 and the U.S. waits until Sunday 1 November, so for that week the gaps are five and eight hours. In spring the order flips: American clocks go forward on 14 March 2027 and Belgian ones on 28 March, which makes a second short spell, this time of two weeks.
During a Belgian evening, what is live in the U.S. is daytime television. At 8 p.m. in Liège, New York is at 2 p.m., and East Coast prime time begins in the small hours. If you only stream Showtime episodes on demand, none of this matters: an episode on Paramount+ plays at whatever hour you choose.
Our own calculation in Python (zoneinfo, IANA tz release 2026c) for the Brussels, New York and Los Angeles zones.

Belgian broadband and mobile
What a Belgian connection shows Paramount+
However you connect in Belgium, your router or phone gets a public address that places it in the country. The provider sets your speed and supplies the box; the country a website sees comes with the address.
| Connection | Who runs it (BIPT, figures for 2025) | The address Paramount+ gets |
|---|
| Cable, copper or fibre at home | Three groups, Proximus, Telenet and Orange Belgium, second brands included, account for 98% of fixed broadband by volume; Proximus alone sits in the 40–50% band | A Belgian IPv4 address, plus a Belgian IPv6 one if the line provides it |
| Fibre in particular | 13.9% of the fixed broadband lines in use in 2025, with coverage reaching 35.7% of households by January 2026 | Still Belgian: fibre changes the speed, not the location |
| Mobile, 4G and 5G | The incumbents again, counting Scarlet, Mobile Vikings, VOO and BASE among their brands, with roughly 93.7% of mobile; independent operators share the remaining 6.3% | Belgian, on the phone and on any laptop using it as a hotspot |
| DIGI | In the market since December 2024; BIPT places its mobile share between 0 and 5% | Belgian like the rest |
| Wi-Fi at the office, on campus or in a hotel | Whoever runs the network | Belgian, and some such networks filter out tunnel software |
IPv6 is the detail that catches people out. If the laptop keeps an IPv6 address from your provider while the U.S. connection is up, some traffic may still leave through your Belgian line. Reading both lines of an address checker, step one of the check below, settles it in seconds.
The regulator’s 2025 count was 5.25 million fixed broadband lines and 11.59 million active data SIMs, machine-to-machine links excluded, each moving 11.1 GB a month on average. Streaming over home Wi-Fi keeps a long evening of episodes off your mobile allowance.

One residential U.S. IP — an ordinary consumer address on a U.S. ISP, not a server range. USip and Paramount+ are separate services: the plans include the connection only — not a Paramount+ subscription, an app-store region or the rights to any title.
Separate services: these prices are for the USip residential U.S. IP service only. Showtime streams inside Paramount+, a separate service; a Paramount+ subscription and access to any particular series or film are not part of a USip plan.
Belgian law, carefully
Using VPN software in Belgium: what we could find
Is a VPN allowed in Belgium? Here is the limit of our answer: we have not found a Belgian law that bans VPN software as such. Read it as general information; we are not lawyers.
The clearest official signal points the other way. The Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium runs Safeonweb, its advice site for the public, and in a piece on holiday Wi-Fi it says simply: “Install a Virtual Private Network (VPN).” The context is safety on unfamiliar networks; the piece says nothing about streaming or about any particular service.
How copyright, a contract or your employer’s network rules apply to you is beyond a streaming guide; for that, talk to a qualified Belgian adviser.
One more point belongs here, because it is not about the law at all. Paramount+ decides for itself which connections it accepts, and it can refuse any connection, USip’s included. USip alters which address Paramount+ sees, and nothing more; the decision stays with Paramount+.
We read Safeonweb’s holiday Wi-Fi advice on 9 October 2026; the page carries no date and names cert.be as its source. We did not search the Belgian Official Journal itself, so “not found” means exactly that.
