AMC+ Availability, Subscription Routes and U.S. IP Guide
AMC+ is officially available in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, but the catalogue changes by country. Outside those markets, the first question is not only which IP address the service sees—it is also where the AMC+ subscription was purchased.
A residential U.S. IP changes the network-location layer. It does not create an AMC+ account, move a subscription from Amazon, Apple or Roku into the AMC+ app, change an app-store country, or guarantee a specific series, film or live channel.

Start with the Official Availability Map
The useful diagnostic question is: “Which layer rejected the request?”
If the whole site reports an unsupported location, inspect the network layer. If one title is absent, inspect the regional catalogue. If the login fails, identify the company that sold the subscription. If the app is missing, inspect the Apple App Store, Google Play or device-store country.| Location | Official AMC+ status | What can differ | Best first check |
|---|---|---|---|
| United States | Officially available | U.S. catalogue, U.S. direct plans and U.S. partner offers | Billing source and one included on-demand title |
| Canada | Officially available | Canadian catalogue and local subscription terms | Confirm the title exists in the Canadian catalogue before changing the connection |
| Australia | Officially available | Regional catalogue, plans and device availability | Separate a missing title from an account or app problem |
| New Zealand | Officially available | Regional catalogue, plans and device availability | Compare the local listing with the title you expect |
| Other countries | Not listed by AMC+ as an official market | Service availability, account creation, billing, app-store access and rights | Do not treat a U.S. IP as a substitute for an eligible account or subscription |
Choose the Entitlement Before the Device
| Subscription route | Who bills you | Where you normally watch | Which account controls access |
|---|---|---|---|
| Direct at AMCPlus.com | AMC+ | AMCPlus.com and supported AMC+ apps | The email and password attached to the direct AMC+ subscription |
| AMC+ app with app-store billing | Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon Fire TV, Roku or another supported store | The AMC+ app supported by that purchase route; restore the purchase where necessary | The AMC+ login plus the store account that owns billing |
| Prime Video, Apple TV or Roku add-on channel | Amazon, Apple or Roku | Prime Video, Apple TV or The Roku Channel | The partner-platform account; the entitlement does not transfer to AMCPlus.com |
| TV-provider add-on | Participating cable, satellite or digital-TV provider | The provider’s supported app, on-demand system or authenticated route | The television-provider credentials and package |

Separate the Network from the Account
| Result of the test | Most likely layer | What to check next |
|---|---|---|
| The entire service reports an unsupported location | Network location, cookies or device location | Verify the public IP, restart the clean session and review location permission |
| The site loads but the account is not recognized | Wrong subscription route | Check the receipt and open AMC+, Prime Video, Apple TV, Roku or the provider route that owns the charge |
| Most titles work but one programme is absent | Regional catalogue, release window or rights | Confirm the title on the current official AMC+ catalogue and the exact subscription tier |
| Browser playback works but the TV app fails | TV app, router, DNS, firmware or partner entitlement | Keep the working network unchanged and troubleshoot only the final device |
Start on a Computer, Then Move to the Final Screen
For a subscription billed directly by AMC, Windows or Mac is the clearest first test. You can confirm the public IP, private-window state, AMC+ login and included title without introducing an app store or television router.
For a partner add-on, keep the same order but test inside Prime Video, Apple TV or The Roku Channel. A working partner subscription is not expected to unlock AMCPlus.com.
| Final device | Direct AMC+ route | Partner-channel route | Common extra layer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple TV | AMC+ app with a compatible direct or app-store subscription | Apple TV app for Apple TV Channels | Apple Account country, app version and device location |
| Fire TV / Android TV | AMC+ app where supported | Prime Video for Prime Video Channels | Amazon marketplace, router path and app cache |
| Roku | AMC+ app for a compatible direct purchase | The Roku Channel for a Roku add-on | Roku account region and router connection |
| Samsung, Vizio, Xfinity, Xumo or Chromecast | Use the currently supported AMC+ app or casting route | Use the billing partner’s supported app | Model support, firmware, casting source and local network |
Residential U.S. IP Plans
Match the Symptom to the Correct Layer
| Symptom | Likely cause | Best next action |
|---|---|---|
| AMC+ reports that the service is unavailable in the location | Public IP, stale cookies, browser location or unsupported market | Verify the U.S. public IP, close old sessions and retest in a private window |
| The password works in Prime Video, Apple TV or Roku but not AMCPlus.com | Partner add-on mistaken for a direct AMC+ account | Continue in the partner app; do not create a duplicate subscription to fix a route mismatch |
| The app is unavailable in Apple App Store or Google Play | Store-country or account-region rule | Review the store account separately from the public IP and preserve existing purchases and subscriptions |
| Most of AMC+ works but one title or episode is missing | Catalogue, release window, tier or rights | Check the current AMC+ listing and confirm the title is included in the exact route and country |
| Video starts in a browser but not on the TV | TV app, router, DNS, firmware or wrong playback app | Keep the working connection and troubleshoot the final device only |
| Playback loops, stays black or repeatedly signs out | Cookies, DRM, extension, date/time or app cache | Try a current private browser with extensions disabled, then update the app and device clock |
| You cannot cancel or change the plan in AMC+ | Another company owns billing | Manage the subscription with AMC, Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, Samsung, Verizon or the TV provider named on the receipt |
