Peacock is a US-only service, not a worldwide platform with a smaller international catalogue. A residential US IP changes the network location Peacock sees; it does not create an eligible account, move an app-store profile or replace a Peacock subscription.
Peacock's own availability page limits the service to the United States and five US territories. Unlike Prime Video, Peacock does not switch to a local catalogue when you cross a border; it can stop the session because the detected network country is outside its service area.
That first decision is network-based, but it is not the only one. An old browser cookie can retain a prior region, a mobile app can keep cached account state, and a television can use a different network path from the computer you tested.

Viewers in Europe may find NBCUniversal programmes on local services, but that does not mean the US Peacock app or account operates there.
Peacock-branded areas on Sky closed in January 2024. Some NBCUniversal films and series continue through Sky, NOW or WOW under local packages and local rights.
Use the local Sky-family service for the titles it licenses; use Peacock only within Peacock's own service rules.
SkyShowtime carries programming from Peacock and other studios in 22 European markets. It is a separate subscription with its own catalogue, pricing, apps and availability.

Recommended order: prove playback on Windows or Mac, then move to a phone, tablet or TV. If the browser works and the app does not, stop changing the connection — the remaining difference is the app session, store account or device path.
Windows is the clearest first test because it avoids a mobile app-store layer.
A Mac follows the same browser-first test, with iCloud Private Relay as a possible competing route.
Mobile adds cached app state and a possible App Store country mismatch.
Android can retain the old Peacock region in app data even after the network changes.
Configure the television only after the browser test passes. TVs normally receive the US connection through a compatible router, and their stores, apps and cached accounts can each have a separate country setting.
Peacock commonly reports that the service is unavailable in your region or that a proxy or unblocker appears to be in use. The exact wording can change, so diagnose the layer rather than matching one sentence.
Confirm the public IP is US, close Peacock completely and retry in a new private window.
If this fixes it, the cause was network or session state.
Reconnect once to obtain a fresh residential endpoint, then clear Peacock cookies before testing again.
Repeated failure can mean Peacock rejected that connection.
Check the store account country, app cache and device route. A working browser already proves the network layer.
