Peacock availability, plans and residential US IP guide

How to Watch Peacock Outside the US

Peacock is a US-only service, not a worldwide platform with a smaller international catalogue. A residential US IP changes the network location Peacock sees; it does not create an eligible account, move an app-store profile or replace a Peacock subscription.

Why Peacock blocks playback outside the US

Peacock's own availability page limits the service to the United States and five US territories. Unlike Prime Video, Peacock does not switch to a local catalogue when you cross a border; it can stop the session because the detected network country is outside its service area.

That first decision is network-based, but it is not the only one. An old browser cookie can retain a prior region, a mobile app can keep cached account state, and a television can use a different network path from the computer you tested.

The useful distinction: a location message before normal playback usually points to the network or session. A checkout rejection, missing app or unavailable event belongs to the account, store or rights layer and should be diagnosed separately.

US prices from Peacock

What Peacock costs in the US

Peacock lists three paid tiers. Monthly and annual amounts below reflect the price change effective 18 August 2026; promotions, taxes and partner billing can change the checkout total.

Peacock planMonthly priceAnnual priceWhat to know
Peacock Select$8.99$89.99Lower-cost on-demand tier; confirm the current programme and feature list before choosing it.
Peacock Premium$12.99$129.99Broader Peacock catalogue with ads. Live programmes and sports can still include advertising.
Peacock Premium Plus$19.99$199.99Reduces ads and adds supported downloads, but some live events, channels and programmes still contain ads.
Annual-plan math: annual billing reduces the effective monthly cost, but the full annual amount is charged at once. These are Peacock subscription prices, separate from USip VPN. Verify current Peacock pricing.
Peacock content abroad is not a Peacock account

Peacock in Europe, Sky and SkyShowtime

Viewers in Europe may find NBCUniversal programmes on local services, but that does not mean the US Peacock app or account operates there.

United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria and Italy

Peacock-branded areas on Sky closed in January 2024. Some NBCUniversal films and series continue through Sky, NOW or WOW under local packages and local rights.

Use the local Sky-family service for the titles it licenses; use Peacock only within Peacock's own service rules.

SkyShowtime markets

SkyShowtime carries programming from Peacock and other studios in 22 European markets. It is a separate subscription with its own catalogue, pricing, apps and availability.

No automatic account transfer

A Peacock login does not become a Sky, NOW, WOW or SkyShowtime login. A US IP also does not transfer purchases, plans or billing between those services.

Compare the programme you need before changing any account setting.

A controlled browser-first workflow

Test Peacock outside the US in four steps

Use one private browser session and one ordinary on-demand title. This keeps the network test separate from app stores, TV firmware, sports rights and payment.

01

Close Peacock first

Close every Peacock tab and app so the old location session is not reused.

Result: a clean starting state.

02

Connect to the US

Connect to a residential US IP and confirm that a public IP checker reports United States.

Result: the network layer is ready.

03

Open a private window

Open Peacock in an incognito or private window and sign in to the intended account.

Result: old Peacock cookies are excluded.

04

Play one normal title

Test an on-demand episode before a live sport, local feed or final TV device.

Result: playback proves the basic connection path.

Do not change billing or app-store country during the first test. Those are account-wide changes and can hide the actual cause of the error.
Change only the network layer

What a residential US IP can — and cannot — change

A residential endpoint is useful because its address is associated with a normal household network rather than a large shared data-centre range. It still does only one job.

It can help with

  • Replacing a non-US public IP with a US residential connection
  • Separating a network-location error from an account or device error
  • Testing Peacock in a clean browser session before configuring a TV
  • Extending the tested connection through a compatible router

It cannot provide

  • A Peacock account, subscription or accepted payment method
  • A different Apple, Google, Roku, Fire TV or smart-TV store country
  • Rights to every live event, local feed or programme
  • A guarantee that Peacock will accept or continue every session

Desktop first, final device last

Peacock setup by device

Recommended order: prove playback on Windows or Mac, then move to a phone, tablet or TV. If the browser works and the app does not, stop changing the connection — the remaining difference is the app session, store account or device path.

Peacock on Windows

Windows is the clearest first test because it avoids a mobile app-store layer.

  1. Follow the USip Windows guide.
  2. Connect to the US and confirm the public country.
  3. Open Peacock in a private browser window.
  4. Sign in and test one on-demand programme.
  5. If it fails, clear Peacock site data and retry once.

Peacock on Mac

A Mac follows the same browser-first test, with iCloud Private Relay as a possible competing route.

  1. Follow the USip Mac guide.
  2. Connect to the US and confirm the public country.
  3. Temporarily disable Private Relay for the test.
  4. Use a private Safari or Chromium window.
  5. Compare browsers before changing the account.

Peacock on iPhone or iPad

Mobile adds cached app state and a possible App Store country mismatch.

  1. Follow the USip iOS guide.
  2. Connect to the US and confirm the public country in Safari.
  3. Force-close Peacock before reopening it.
  4. If the app is unavailable, check the Apple Account store country separately.
  5. Use a Safari private tab to distinguish app state from network state.

Peacock on Android

Android can retain the old Peacock region in app data even after the network changes.

  1. Follow the USip Android guide.
  2. Connect to the US before opening Peacock.
  3. Force-stop the app and clear its cache.
  4. If installation is unavailable, inspect the Play Store country rather than reconnecting repeatedly.
  5. Compare with a private Chrome tab.

Peacock on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV and smart TVs

Configure the television only after the browser test passes. TVs normally receive the US connection through a compatible router, and their stores, apps and cached accounts can each have a separate country setting.

  1. Connect the TV through the same tested network path.
  2. Restart the device and Peacock app, then sign in again.
  3. Test the same on-demand title used in the browser.
  4. If the browser works but the TV fails, focus on app availability, account country, cache, DNS and router routing.
Do not use live sport as the first TV test. Event rights and live-feed restrictions can fail even when normal Peacock playback works.
Read the error before changing anything

Peacock errors and what they usually mean

Peacock commonly reports that the service is unavailable in your region or that a proxy or unblocker appears to be in use. The exact wording can change, so diagnose the layer rather than matching one sentence.

01

Location or region message

Confirm the public IP is US, close Peacock completely and retry in a new private window.

If this fixes it, the cause was network or session state.

02

Proxy or unblocker message

Reconnect once to obtain a fresh residential endpoint, then clear Peacock cookies before testing again.

Repeated failure can mean Peacock rejected that connection.

03

App missing or TV-only failure

Check the store account country, app cache and device route. A working browser already proves the network layer.

Do not keep changing IPs when only one device fails.

04

Payment or subscription problem

Review Peacock account status and billing directly. USip VPN does not submit or approve Peacock payments.

Treat checkout as an account issue, not a playback test.

05

One title or event is missing

Check Peacock's current programme page and event rules. Individual rights and schedules can differ.

If other titles play, the connection is working.

06

Video buffers after starting

Test the same title on the same device, pause competing downloads and reconnect once.

Playback quality is separate from account eligibility.

Peacock outside the US: FAQ

Does Peacock work outside the US?

Peacock officially operates in the United States and five US territories. It does not offer an international Peacock version; programmes distributed by Sky or SkyShowtime belong to those separate services.

Which US territories have Peacock?

Peacock lists American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands alongside the United States.

Can I use my Peacock account while travelling internationally?

Peacock publishes no international travel allowance. Its terms restrict use outside the United States, so a US network location should not be described as official travel support or a guarantee of access.

What exactly does a residential US IP change for Peacock?

It changes the public network country and gives the device a US residential connection. It does not change the Peacock account, subscription, payment method, app-store country, device support or programme rights.

Why does Peacock still show a location or proxy error?

The browser or app may retain an old session, the public IP may not be US, or Peacock may reject that connection. Close Peacock, confirm the IP, reconnect once and retest in a private browser window.

Why is the Peacock app missing from my app store?

Apple, Google, Roku, Fire TV and television stores can show apps according to the account's country. A US IP alone does not move a store profile; review that platform's country rules before making an account-wide change.

Why does Peacock work in a browser but not on my TV?

A working browser proves the basic network path. The remaining difference is usually the TV app session, store country, account signed in on the device, DNS or router routing.

Does USip VPN include a Peacock subscription?

No. USip VPN provides a residential US IP connection. Peacock access, payment, plan features, live events and programme availability remain separate and are controlled by Peacock.

Peacock, Sky and SkyShowtime are third-party services and are not affiliated with USip VPN. Prices, availability, device support and rights can change; verify current details with the relevant provider.

Start with one on-demand title in a private browser.

That single test separates Peacock's network-location check from app stores, billing, live-event rights and final-device state.
